THE SPACIOUS OLD RECTORY is for your sole personal use. Built in 1790 and offers spectacular facilities for self catering holidays. There are 4 excellent reception rooms,The dining room can seat 24+ There are up to 12 bedrooms with 12 bathrooms. The house features a large games room offering table tennis, pool and more. The 3 acre garden with barbeque is great for outdoor activities
You can enjoy sailing, walking, and cycling at the adjacent lake near the Old Rectory on the large natural reservoir (9 miles round the perimeter) There is plenty of safe parking at the end of a long driveway

This beautiful large house is available all year for family holidays, celebrations and corporate hire. Included in the price.... full central heating,.....electricity...... beds made up including sheets and duvets, plus towels.

The stainless steel kitchen is ideal for self catering for 24 people-- it' s fully equipped with 2 ovens, 2 fridges, Freezer,Wine cooler, microwave. Professional caterers are available if required for that special meal.

THE OLD RECTORY with its spacious rooms allows 24 people to be together in comfort or allows you to spread out as you wish, This large house is the ideal venue for family holidays, gatherings, get-togethers, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, courses e.g. music, art, chilling out, and just simply getting away to a relaxing country atmosphere. The Old Rectory lies in a peaceful village near Ipswich. There are many pubs offering appetizing food in the surrounding areas.

Conditions

To book we ask for £200 deposit, this is used as a damage deposit which is returned after your stay. The total cost of your stay at the Rectory is due 2 months before arrival.

The Rectory is near Constable country, Snape Maltings, Woodbridge, and the seaside , also near the river Stour and river Orwell, Suffolk is known for its dry summers

Why drive long distances when you can come to the beautiful Suffolk countryside and heritage coastline of East Anglia, which is only 90 minutes by road from London. (50 minutes by train). Suffolk has many places of interest to visit such as Constable Country — Flatford Mill, Dedham, Snape Maltings, Woodbridge, Ipswich, 5 miles away, which offers many shops, a large cinema complex, many restaurants, sports centres and concert venues. Other activities in the surrounding area are dry slope skiing, golf, horseback riding, quad biking, sailing and Ten Pin Bowling.

“Fantastic Family Friendly Getaway” We hired the Old Rectory for a weekend to celebrate myself and my fiance turning 30 this year and we had both of our families to come and share the celebration with us. It also served as a 'get-to-know each other' for both families before our wedding in May. Richard the owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming and after seeing us into the 'house', left us to our own devices. We were amazed at the size of the place. Even with 23 of us the place was still plenty big enough for everyone to enjoy their own space if needed. The bedrooms were ample and each had its own great en-suite facilities. The games room was a hive of activity for most of the weekend, hosting many round-robin tournaments. The kitchen was brilliantly kitted out with enough crockery, cutlery etc. to cater for an army. The focal point was the dining room however which when full felt like a medieval banquet hall. The whole place was perfect. There was something for everyone whether it be a 9 mile walk around the local reservoir, game of tennis on the nearby courts, frame or two of pool in the games room or quiet read in one of the lounges. We would definitely recommend The Old Rectory to anyone looking to house a large group for a few days. We are already looking forward to having an excuse to do it again - perhaps for our 31st?

“Beautiful house, plenty of room.” I booked the Old Rectory for a work retreat. 11 of us stayed, each had our own en suite and there was plenty of room for all of us in the dining room and sitting room. The house is beautiful, I had many compliments on booking it! Beautiful area as well, would recommend the Old Rectory for large families or groups. The game room is a added bonus!
