The East Anglia region
It's time to discover the East.
Suffolk is a great place for a fun family holiday with many award-winning beaches. If it's fresh air you seek visit the Heritage coast, go sailing in the sea, boating up the river, walking or cycling through stunning heathland or horse riding along coastal paths.
The surrounding Suffolk countryside is peaceful and pretty with traditionally pink-painted cottages and local pubs. A short drive from Heath View takes you to the market town of Woodbridge boasting one of only two working tide mils in Britain. Follow the River Deben north to Snape Maltings for a day's entertainment; shops, restaurants, river walks and the concert hall, founded by Benjamin Britten, a cultural haven for music lovers. For a historic excursion, why not visit Framlingham or Orford castle.
Having access to three rivers, Orwell, Deben and Stour, means sailing is a big part of Suffolk life and there are sailing clubs in nearby Waldringfield and Levington, both under ten minutes drive from Heath View. Traditional country pubs with log fires and home-made food can be found along many beautiful walks, whether you fancy the coastal paths or inland tranquil woodland areas. Horse riding is also a favourite pastime, with opportunities to see the local breed at The Suffolk Punch Sanctuary in Hollesly. Travel South into Essex and discover Constable Country and Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town.
In just one hour you could be in Central London, so why not take a day trip to see the capital or catch a West End show?
At Heath View you can have the best of both - hide away from it all, relax and unwind and feel a million miles from any hustle and bustle or go on an adventure around beautiful Suffolk.
This great holiday home is perfectly placed to get anywhere you want, hassle free. There's quick access to main roads leading to Felixstowe, Ipswich as well as being close to shops, supermarkets, restaurants and entertainment for all the family.
Ipswich itself boasts some beautiful parkland, one of which is Christchurch Park in the town centre, which plays host to many music and art festivals throughout the year. Home-boy Ed Sheeran has been known to travel back to Suffolk to play at the Ipswich Music festival.
The Suffolk Showground, literally at the end of our road, is bursting with events to temp visitors.
Step out of the front door and discover the conservation heathland, home to the Silver-Studded Blue Butterfly. Enjoy the woods on foot or wheels whether that be cycle, pushchair or wheelchair, the paths are suitable for all.
For those interested in a different kind of walk, our road joins onto the entrance to the top-rated 18-hole golf course in Suffolk, Purdis Golf Club. There are also several other courses just a short drive away to add variety to your stay.
This is a fantastic family holiday rental, but we have also made it disability friendly. Our eldest daughter is a full-time wheelchair user, so we fully appreciate the difficulties of finding holiday accommodation that really does have what it says. We will do all we can to make Heath View meet your individual needs, so give us a call and tell us what you need.
