Home description

This self-catering holiday home is situated in the heart of Monarch of the Glen countryside with panoramic views over the Spey valley and Monadhliath Mountains.The cottages are open all year round. They have recently been modernised and refurbished to a high standard.

There is ample car parking space at the rear of the building. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
The properties are usually let on a weekly basis. Bed linen is provided and guests also receive a welcome pack on their arrival.

The Highlands region

The Sottish Highlands boast some of the most dramatic scenary in the United Kingdom with its rugged but beautiful landscape it is very popular with those who want to get away from it all.

Walking in the Highlands is probably the best way to take it all in as there are many rare plants and animals to observe in its glorious hills.
Birdwatching is very popular in the Highlands aswell with many rare breeds available to be spotted at all times of the years.


Inverness / Newtonmore area

Inverness is the nerve centre of the Scottish highlands and lies on the River Ness, which leads out to the Moray Firth in Northeast Scotland. It has a small compact shopping centre, which should cater for all your shopping needs as well as offering handy crafts from around the region in the Old Town of Inverness.
In short Inverness is the perfect place to come and visit if you want to unwind or if you want to take in some of the fresh air and excellent views.


How to get there

From Dunfermline head north and take the M90 northbound signposted The North/Perth for 23 miles.

Bear left onto the ramp signposted A912 Stirling/Crianlarich/A9 then take the ramp to Stirling/Crianlarich/Inverness for half a mile then merge onto the M90.

At Broxden roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A9. At Inveralmond roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A9 for 53 miles. Take the exit signposted A889 and after 2 miles bear left towards Bruthach Druim an Lagain. After another 2 miles bear left towards Sgriob Ruadh.

Continue on the A889 for another 3 miles before arriving at Craigarakis Cottages.
