Ivybank is very attractive "B" listed house - full of original features and charm and ideally situated within walking distance of Inverness city centre, castle, river, restaurants, shops and theatre, offering a chance to relax in the gracious surroundings of a by-gone age. With its oak panelling and beamed hall and its gothic carvings, its magnificent mahogany staircase, and its original fireplaces in the downstairs rooms, it is truly unique!
The lounge has a Baby Grand piano if you are musically inclined, and the dining room can also be used as a sitting room, thus offering guests both a quiet lounge and a study/games room. The extra public space there and in the hall makes it an appealing house for groups to spread out when they need to.
The landscaped garden is walled and enclosed and has adequate parking within and security lighting. It also has a pond, and care must be taken with young children.
The bedrooms are exceptionally well equipped with all three ensuite and having flat TV screens, hairdryers, and clock radios. One bedroom has a 4-poster bed and overlooks the garden. The family bedroom, too, overlooks the garden, has a double and single bed and has a bath and shower in the bathroom central to the tower. The remaining bedroom on offer has its original curved door and its bathroom is in the top of the tower and up a staircase within this room! There is also an additional, large bathroom which is fully tiled with a large corner bath & walk-in shower.
Dubbed by the French, "Le Petit Chateau", Ivybank is without rival, and is simply enchanting!
From here you can explore the Highlands, Loch Ness and Skye by day, and a minutes' walk takes you into the busy city centre with its many restaurants and bars. The best of both worlds!
