Brambles which is a much loved family home is situated in a quiet conservation road. Its spread across two floors and is extremely comfortable with the sitting room situated on the first floor to take full advantage of the view over the river. Otters have returned to the river and these along with grey seals can regularly be seen from the sitting room window. The house also benefits from having a small but sunny back garden. It is fully double glazed with gas central heating ensuring a warm interior whatever the season. It has wi-fi connection and digital television.

Downstairs there is a living room/dining room with a living flame gas fire. There is also a flat screen television and an ipod dock. There is a step up to the kitchen which leads to the garden. The kitchen has everything you need and is stock with tea, fresh coffee, sugar etc. and some recipe books should resist the temptation to try out some of the excellent restaurant on the doorstep.

Upstairs there is a comfortable modern lounge with living flame gas fire and a excellent view over the river. Two lovely bedrooms - one with a double bed and en suite shower and the other with both a king sized bed and a single. The large family shower room also takes advantage of the lovely view over the river.

Outside the garden is a sun trap and a good place to enjoy the long light summer evenings with a glass of wine.

The livingroom/dining room downstairs has the advantage of a digital television and a living flame gas fire.

Parking is normally just outside the front door by the riverside and guests are provided with a visitor's permit. This year (2014) flood prevention work is being carried out on both sides of the river and the dedicated parking maybe on the two roads adjacent to the house.

The Scottish Highlands region

Brambles is ideally located for anyone who wants a base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands or the islands. Situated in a restricted access road and overlooking the River Ness the house is in a perfect position as its within five minutes walking distance of the centre of the city yet is still in a very peaceful location. There can't be many cities in the world where grey seals, salmon and now otters can be regularly seen.

Just a short walk from both the central bus station and railway station and only 8 miles from the airport, Brambles is very easy to get to.

Whatever the season Inverness & the Highlands has something to offer. Summer has the long light nights and the winter months the air is so clear and crisp on sunny days.

Steeped in history Inverness has so much to offer and without shadow of a doubt the Highland scenery and landscape is one of the best in the world.

Inverness itself has lovely tree lined walks along the river banks and through The Islands. There's an extremely good theatre and cinema, swimming pool and ice rink and there are some really good restaurants.

If you are interested in history, the Culloden battlefield is only a few miles out of the city. Loch Ness a short 15 minute drive. For those who would like to explore further, a day trip to Skye or Orkney are possibilities although you might be tempted just to go and watch dolphins or perhaps go on a whisky trail.

Whatever your interests are: walking, cycling, fishing, watersports, golf, visiting castles, history, Inverness & the Highlands has lots to offer.

"The Brambles spacious and great position on the Ness."

Great property and easy to find, loads of room. Watch the door mats on way in (mind of there own). every thing was as described no faults there except you need to be tall for the top kitchen cupboards… More

"Wonderful accommodation which made for an excellent holiday."

The house was very clean and in excellent condition. Everything that we needed was available and in perfect working order. When we first arrived and opened the front door my wife and daughter went "wow" and that initial wow stayed with us throughout our stay. The views of the river were wonderful from the upstairs lounge. We couln't find anything to find fault with and we definitely want to stay again.

The House has all the amenities anyone would require.

"Excellent cottage. Convenient for everything."

The position of cottage is first rate, everything within 5 - 10 mins walk. Cottage is beautifully kept and we loved the upstairs lounge overlooking the river. Comfortable beds and sofas and TV's upstairs and downstairs. Have just booked a 2013 visit.
