This lovely and character-filled cottage sits within secluded, garden grounds extending to half an acre and enjoys superb views over the Ben Wyvis mountains. The property has been sympathetically restored whilst retaining its essential character and charm. It has three generously proportioned bedrooms making this an ideal family property or the perfect venue for the gathering of friends. The combined kitchen and dining room complete with solid wood dining table is the perfect place to linger over a favourite meal or to plan the day ahead. The delightful conservatory leading out onto the mature gardens is an ideal setting to enjoy a quiet pot of tea or a bottle of chilled wine while listening to the reassuring sounds of birdsong as the day ebbs into night. Should the weather turn, guests can decamp into the charming lounge complete with wood-burning stove. Black Isle Cottage is the type of holiday property guests will find the need to return to for a second or even third visit and a property in which it very difficult to do anything other than relax and unwind.

The Inverness, Highlands / Newton of Ferintosh area

The Black Isle region of Inverness is noted for its collection of charming fishing villages, sublime countryside and wide array of wildlife. The Red Kite, for example, is doing incredibly well in this area and is unforgettable sight as it swoops and wheels overhead. The nearby Moray Firth always offers the chance to see a dolphin or two and this is an experience to be savoured. Outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice here with activities ranging from pony-treking, mountain-biking and sailing to name but a few, and almost all available at numerous venues. The Black isle offers easy access to the vibrant capital of the Highlands- Inverness- and its surprisingly large and diverse of amenities, which include a multi-screen cinema complex, award winning aquadrome and the 'museum'. The latter chronicles highland life throughout the centuries and is well worth a visit. To the north lies the scenic grandeur of the main Highland region and some of the most splendid walking, climbing and cycling country in the whole of the UK.
