Thank you so much for your time posting a review. I didnt take any bookings over Christmas and new year until I had had a chance to check things out. I have a guest who has been a regular guest for a number of years and comes back 3/4 times a year... I do recall him mentioning he had hurt his back at work and had to use deep heat but I know he would not have wanted to effect anyone else. I am so sorry if this has been the case. I have checked myself and there is not a deep heat smell now but as as precaution I will replace the duvets & pillows for this years guests. I will also look at getting a bigger curtain :) I really do appreciate your feed back. My main focus is that the Bothy is a place for guests to relax and spend some time with "themselves". I am committed to doing what I can to provide a place of peace and calm. Thanks again. I am really glad you enjoyed your stay x

"Welcoming, beautiful location, atmospheric and the wood burning stove is the heart of the place"
This is a beautiful down to earth little house. If you are able to create your own little luxuries in life you will love this. It will satisfy all your needs. It is very welcoming and in colder weather the wood burning stove turn this into a warm, cosy, atmospheric little nest where you can relax and enjoy.
Our stay was a bit short and rushed, but I could have easy turned the weekend into a week. If we ever return to Inverness there is no need to look for another place to stay.
The owner truly walked the extra mile to make sure our stay was satisfying. The beautiful fresh flowers in the lounge just gave it a special touch.

"Peaceful and Tranquil"
The property is exactly as described, plain and simple - everything you would expect from a bothy. The accommodation was extremely clean and the kitchen was a good size and well equipped to cook family meals. Bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed a relaxing weekend break. The bothy is in a truly unique location, right on the shores of the Moray firth with views to the sea from every window. It was a great base for exploring the beach and you are only 5 -10 mins drive to Inverness if you need wet weather options. The owner was extremely helpful and was in touch by text to check we were happy with everything.

"It was all that I expected and more!"
I had such a wonderful week at the bothybythesea. It is rustic, but the most charming cottage ever. I loved the wood burning stove, it kept the cottage warm & cozy. There was a full supply of logs for the fire and the views were spectacular! No matter what window you looked out, the sea was right there. Breathtaking. I was more than comfortable and would definitely go back.
