Maranatha Cottage is only five miles to the south of Inverness which gives you the chance to stay in a totally rural location but still remain close to all the local amenities. The cottage can be found on a working croft and has spectacular views of the Strathnairn Valley. It is ideally placed for touring the area and allows you to experience the beautiful scenery as you drive around.

Maranatha is a functioning smallholding and you can try eggs laid by our free range hens as well as enjoy the wildlife outdoors. Frequent visitors to the garden are red squirrels, roe deer, red kites and buzzards. There is also the chance to feed orphan lambs at spring time or visit the cattle and sheep in the fields close by.

Living Room - This room has a 2 seater and 3 seater leather sofa, TV with Freeview, DVD player and an electric feature fireplace. There is also a sideboard and overmantle, nest of tables, lighting and a CD player and radio.

Kitchen - There is an electric cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. The kitchen also has a table and chairs that seat 4 as well as crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils.

Bedroom 1 - There is a double bed with king size duvet, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets with lighting, a luggage rack and hair dryer.

En-Suite Bathroom - With large electric shower and seat for disabled or elderly visitors.

Bedroom 2 - This room has twin beds, bedside cabinets with lighting and a luggage rack.

Bathroom

Utility Room - There is a washing machine, tumble dryer (available at an extra cost) and a fridge freezer.

General - A travel cot, high chair, linen, ironing board and iron, clothes rack and vacuum cleaner are available.

Booking terms

The first nights rental will be charged on the day of booking to confirm your booking. The final balance will be due 5 days before arrival. Once a booking is made you will be liable for the full cost of the rental however from the time the booking is placed you have 24 hours to change your mind and cancel the booking and you will receive a full refund (less any card processing fees already paid). Key collection is available locally, details are sent by email as part of receipt of payment of the final balance. Full terms of rental can be viewed and printed off as part of the booking process. We strongly recommend that you use holiday cancellation insurance to cover the cost of your rental should, due to any unforeseen event, you have to cancel your booking.

The Scottish Highlands region

No matter what age you are, there is plenty to see and do in the area. Perhaps hunt for Nessie at Loch Ness or visit the beaches of the Moray Firth where you need to keep your eyes open for bottlenose dolphins.

The famous Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns are only 5 minutes away and also within easy travelling distance is the Cairngorm National Park where there are opportunities for mountain biking, hillwalking and skiing. 20 minutes away is Landmark Forest Adventure Park and it offers a great day out for adults as well as children.

There are many golf courses in the vicinity, with Castle Stewart only 20 minutes away. For an additional cost, the cottage owners can also organise fishing and shooting.

Inverness, Highlands

The capital of the Highlands, Inverness, offers an array of amenities that include Eden Court Theatre, Vue cinema and many great places to eat and drink.
