Sandpipers is a pretty 5 bedroom cottage in the North Devon seaside village of Instow.
Outstanding views across the Taw and Torridge estuary and just 200m from Instow's large dog friendly beach.
The house has two good size double rooms (one en suite), a smaller twin room and two rooms with built in cabin bunk beds for children. Downstairs is open plan with french doors that fold right back to open on to a terrace.
Sandpipers has been decorated to a high standard with Oak flooring throughout, a wet room, Bose speakers, CD / DVD and digital television system.

A good sized enclosed, lawned garden.
Huge sandy beach, great pubs and restaurants. The estuary is perfect for many watersports (sailing, canoeing etc)
The village has two restaurants, two pubs, an art gallery and a very good deli / mini supermarket.
Great surfing nearby at Croyde, Saunton and Westward Ho!
Walking and cycling on the Tarka trail (which is at the bottom of the garden) and Exmoor.
Rental is from Friday to Friday.
The West Country region
Instow is on the North Devon coast and is to the west of Exmoor. It has a great record for sunny days. There is a huge amount to do nearby, including cycling on the Tarka trail (at the bottom of the garden), surfing, sailing and fabulous walking.
Instow is a gem of a village. It has a huge sandy beach that stretches for miles at low tide. Even at the height of the summer the beach never gets crowded. The village is at the mouth of the estuary where the rivers Taw and Torridge meet. In the summer there is a little ferry boat that runs across to Appledore on the other side.There is great sailing (racing on Dart 15 catamarans) at the North Devon Yacht club, cycling on the Tarka trail, two good pubs (the Wayfarer and The Bar) and two very good restaurants (The Boathouse and Decks) , a small family run hotel , beach volleyball, waterskiing in the estuary. We love the rock pooling and surfing / kite surfing at Westward Ho! Within a short drive there are fabulous walks along the coast to Cornwall , Exmoor National park, as well as beaches and surfing at Croyde and Woolacombe, etc etc.
Barnstaple is 8 miles away with its famous pannier market and has a theatre, swimmimg pools, ten pin bowling etc. Bideford is a pretty town 3 miles away on the other side of the river and has a large supermarket.

Bideford and Barnstaple Pannier Farmers Markets, National Trust coastal path,Tarka Trail cycling,Exmoor national park, Rock pooling ,Appledore Arts Festival, Surfing at Saunton and Croyde (20mins)

"Lovely spot, well equipped house just what we needed.."
We stayed at Sandpipers off season with friends. The house is well appointed and well equipped, very clean and tidy on arrival with clear instructions for everything.
The downstairs space is all open plan so being a cold winter week the garden and patio were not an option so all 10 of us had one space to be in in the evenings, but because the wi-fi coverage is good the kids spent time upstairs on their various devices...
Parking is across the road and maybe more difficult during the summer season, but the village is charming, the Tarka trail easily accessible, and the local grocers is an aladdins cave!

"Lovely large homely house, close to beach and shop,"
spacious secure garden ideal for children and dogs. With three generations of the family little concerned about open plan layout but worked really well. No off road parking but always managed to park our two cars across the road. We all wished we owned the place so we could go there every week!

"Fantastic house in great location"
We've just returned from a fantastic few days at Sandpipers - a really comfortable, well-equipped house in the North Devon village of Instow. Literally a three minute walk from the enormous sandy beach and local store, you couldn't be better placed. Also the house was a delight - with a fabulously well-equipped kitchen. The garden, living room and two of the bedrooms have fantastic views over the estuary. We stayed there with our dog, who thought he was in heaven!Also it had wi-fi which we always appreciate.
