We booked this accommodation at short notice as my husband and I felt the need to be in the Instow/Appledore area. When I contacted the web site I found this accommodation on, Lisa the owner contacted me within an hour or 2 and by the end of the evening the holiday was booked. This was 2 days before the holiday. The service we received was excellent and so was the accommodation.
On our arrival the heating was on so was nice, warm and cosy. There were provisions like coffee, tea, milk, bread and preserves.
The location is wonderful for the views, however not suitable for people with walking difficulties as it is located on a hill side and is quite steep.
We liked this accommodation for its decor, the big window that overlooked the Torridge estuary and views over to Appledore. Being able to walk to Marine Parade for a walk along the beach, the restaurants and cafe. The furniture and bed was so comfy, cosy and homely.
I would really recommend this holiday home for a get away from it all for couples.

"Superb accommodation with wonderful sea view."

A very satisfying weeks stay in a quiet seaside town with lots of local interest. Bideford and Barnstaple both nearby and frequent bus service, which we used with our bus passes!
We cycled the Tarka trail which is one of the best in the country.
The owners were extremely kind and helpful especially since we were forced to arrive a day late.
The accommodation is luxurious and comfortable, and could not be bettered,
The only thing that would have suited us more would have been a dishwasher in lieu of a washing machine.

"Top quality 'splash-pad' for 2 with views to die for...."

The Sail Loft looked spot-on on the website and also offered the flexibility on dates we needed. Dealing with the owners (who live in the main house next door) during the booking process was very quick and easy via email. Stress free.

It was easy to find and has a huge front drive for parking, with no concerns for the safety of our car. The road up to the house is steep - one of the trade-offs for the awesome vews - but no problem in first gear.

First impressions were even better than that we expected from the photos. Nothing was out of place, all the fixtures/fitting/appliances were top quality, it was spotlessly clean and given the horrid weather we had driven down in, lovely and warm!

The views from the bedroom and living room over the estuary to Appledore are breath taking. It's a constant changing scene that can be appreciated even more with the binoculars provided.

A 5 minute stroll downhill and you are on the Marine Parade and the sandy beach. There is a small selection of pubs/restaurants and a couple of shops. We drove to Appledore on one day rather than take the ferry (tide limited hours) - cute backstreets and a few more shops/cafes. Another day we drove up to Croyde to take in some surf culture. Not much there other than a lot of surfers! The rest of the time we just chilled out in and around Instow itself.

We have stayed multiple times at several properties in the past, and I genuinely think we will be coming back to this one as well!
