Morningside is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the High Street In Innerleithen, a small Scottish weaving town famous for its spa and cashmere mills. The property has two bedrooms and two sitting rooms.
The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the numerous local attractions, including Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott and Traquair House the oldest continually occupied house in Scotland. There are many wonderful walks on your doorstep. The area is famous for its trout and salmon fishing on the River Tweed which is 5 minutes walk from the house; it is also a centre for mountain biking with bikes available to hire locally.

The South/Borders region
The Scottish Borders is an area of rolling hills and deserted valleys. There is a tremendous sense of history and the area is dotted with the remains of hill forts and Roman settlement. Five hundred years ago the exploits of the border reivers made the area a wild and lawless place, however these days the area is more famous for its leisure pursuits.
Innerleithen area
There are numerous local attractions in the area. Tickets for fishing in the Tweed are available locally. Mountain bikes can be hired locally and routes (ranging from easy to vertical!) are marked out in Glentress and several other forests. Glentress is also the place to visit to watch CCTV of the Ospreys on their nest. There is a town golf course with green fees starting at £20.
There is an annual music festival and also the St Ronans' games week in July/August.
Innerleithen has a full range of shops and a car is not necessary. Edinburgh is 25 miles away if you are in need of some retail therapy.

Further details indoors: The house is comfortably furnished and has full central heating. There is one double bedroom with antique brass bed and a second bedroom with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have views to the hills and forest. There is also a fold up bed which can be placed in the second lounge enable the house to accommodate 5 people.
Further details outdoors: At the rear there is a small, sunny and private patio area with a flower border. The patio has an outdoor seat, BBQ and a shed to store bikes etc. There is ample on street parking at the front of the property.
