About the home

Perched on the edge of the Mediterranean, this fully-furnished, self-catering apartment is situated on the 3rd Floor and comprises an entrance hall leading into a spacious lounge which opens onto a large balcony with a spectacular view across the bay of Palma, a dining room, a main bedroom (double bed) with en-suite bathroom and shower over the bath. There are two further double bedrooms (with twin beds) and a separate bathroom (also with shower over the bath), a fully fitted kitchen with all necessary utensils and equipment, pantry and laundry complete with washing machine and tumble dryer.

A heated pool, solarium and barbecue facilities are also available for use in the complex. There is also private access to the beach which is serviced by several restaurants, a beach shop where one can hire pedal boats and diving equipment, or one can enjoy a relaxing massage as one listens to the waves gently lapping on the shore.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Mallorca has something to offer everyone, from a relaxing beach holiday to golfing on some of the finest golf courses. The island is seeped in culture and history and many festivals can be enjoyed together with the friendly local community. There are plenty of good restaurants, a wonderful night life, good shops, cycling, tennis, spectacular walks, plenty of glorious sunshine and many happy hours can be spent exploring the beautiful little Spanish villages, such as Valdemosa, Deja, Cala Major, Portals Nous, Andrax, to mention but a few.

The Illetes area

Illetas is situated 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from Palma and enjoys some of the most stunning views across the bay. It boasts lovely, white, sandy beaches and is very sheltered and although it is within easy reach of a rich nightlife, it still maintains an air of tranquillity.

Being so conveniently situated it offers the holidaymaker easy access to the nearby Bendinat Golf course, the popular yacht harbour of Portals Nous and its numerous restaurants, tennis courts and marine world but to name a few of the attractions. Or simply catch the bus into Palma and wander around the quaint old town, soaking up the history and culture, while enjoying some of the upmarket shops or relax in one of the numerous coffee shops such as the Cappuccino Coffee Shop near Plaza Major.

Many budget airlines offer a daily service to Mallorca including Easy Jet, Jet 2, Thomson Fly, Flyb, Globespan, Monarch, Mytravel, First Choice, Ryanair, etc. as well as many other major airlines. Flights are also available from mainland Spain as well as daily ferry services from Barcelona. All major car hire companies are located at the airport as well as taxis. There is also a bus link from the airport to Plaza Espana where one can get a bus to Illetas (No. 3) which drops one almost on the doorstep. Distance from the airport to Illetas is 16 kms and to Palma 10kms.

“Lovely apartment with fantastic views” A great apartment in a peaceful and relaxing part of Majorca. The balcony overlooking the sea and harbour is wonderful with a number of restaurants and bars close by. Buses to Palma stop just about outside the door and are plentyful and cheap. Although there are one or two small shops close by it is worth going to one of the larger supermarkets on the bus route (we had no car and did not miss it!). Only drawback we had was the lack of english channels on the satellite tv and we could not get the gas on the cooker to work.

We had the privilege to spend a wonderful time in Illetas. Our stay in the apartment of E Steidl was absolutely wonderful. The distance to the city of Palma is perfect - shopping, sightseeing, nightlife, dining, wining are only a few minutes drive away from the apartment, which is perfectly situated for swimming, relaxing and enjoying life at its best. Firstly, let me express our thanks for allowing us to stay at your lovely apartment. The location was perfect, the apartment was so spacious & clean and the views were as spectacular as the photo's suggested. In fact, we were sitting on the terrace having breakfast with the sun glistening on the water when we spotted Dolphins in the bay - if you could arrange that for each of your visitors you'd be on to a real winner!
