La Grange is situated in the heart of the medieval town of Ille-Sur-Tet close to Perpignan, the Mediterranean and Spanish border. The structure of the property dates back to the 15th Century, its cool ,airy interior has been tastefully and sensitively renovated in a contemporary and modern style. The facilities are spaciously spread over 3 floors, with an architect-designed open plan arrangement. Private walled garden 17m squared, large feature wooden terrace with dining table and chairs, barbecue area and gas barbecue.....essential for the 300 days of sun and al fresco dining. Also consists: Entrance hall with storage area, master bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with bunk beds, separate toilet, shower room with washing machine, open plan fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge and dining area with table / chairs. Open plan lounge, with seating for 5. Mezzanine with seating / reading area and single bed. (Airport Information :Ille is 20min drive from Perpignan airport, 60 min from Gerona and 120 min from Barcelona)

.........wow what a place!!!!...... sun, sea and mountains, the great peaks of the Pyrenees dominate the scenery just to the south, rugged landscape of lakes,walks and secret towns inland and the fun of the coast a short drive away. It has the claim to fame as the sunniest region in France....... over 300 days per year! Ideal for a varied activity holiday. A 'secret' find in the area are the 2 large freshwater lakes nearby ideal for swimming, fishing or sailing. Of course the Med is not far with a fantastic coastline, with some very popular resorts such as Canet and quieter areas such as Le Racou. Further up the valley one can find Spa towns for rejuvenation and for TAX-FREE haven of Andorra
Ille sur Tet area
Great local facilities, numerous shops in Ille, large hypermarket 3 min drive, 3 wonderful outdoor pools in Ille only 5min walk away. There are ample facilities and attractions in in Ille should you wish to stay there for your stay, however there are many exciting places to explore within a short drive: Cave Burr cellars for wine tasting, the walled town of Villefranche and the World famous 'little yellow train', Prades with the annual classical musical festival, Mosset wit hit open air opera festival, Perpignan with a host of larger festivals ( medieval, film, culture ) & numerous high quality restaurants. Spain is only a 40 min drive away, and great places such as Gerona are within easy reach for a day trip. Barcelona is accessible by fast train from Perpignan , whilst duty free Andorra can be reached in a couple of hours inland.
How to get there
Ille is very easy to reach with a wealth of 'budget' airlines servicing the area, Perpignan airport only 20min away, Gerona ( spain ) 40min, Barcelona 120 min. The village is also on a direct train line to Perpignan, with a frequent service, onward links to Spain and the rest of France leave from there.
