On entering the cottage you go into a large comfortable lounge complete with an inglenook fireplace and a wealth of beams.
Lounge leads off to a kitchen/diner where you will find all the modern appliances to make life comfortable - more beams and an inglenook where they used to smoke the fish in years gone by.
All the downstairs is tiled which is great if you have dogs and sandy children!!
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms - a twin with an ensuite shower room, & a double with a posted bed and an ensuite bathroom.
Cottage has full central heating so is cosy all year and the thick cob wall make it cool in summer.
Small front outside area where you can sit and enjoy the 'cafe culture' of Fore Street.

Fore Street is the oldest streets in the town and links the High Street with the harbour area. The street is full of small restaurents and pubs where you can find a great variety of food to sample.
The door of the cottages is orginal and is one of the only iron studded doors remaining in the town.
A great holiday location, really in the hub of the holiday area. Fore Street is the road of restaurents with traditional pubs serving great snacks, down to Italian, Spanish Tapas, French style and great places for fish right on the doorstep! The bustling harbour is one minutes walk away.
Ilfracombe is becoming the place to eat with Damien Hurst's very special harbour side tapas bar and restaurant where you can sample great food and great art 2 minutes walk away.
A great place for a traditional seaside holiday !!

The West Country region
For golfers there is a good course in Ilfracombe with stunning views over to Wales over the Bristol Channel.
Saunton with its 2 courses again stunning setting & the championship course is a real challenge.
Westward Ho! Is one of the oldest clubs in England- set right on the sea.
Willingcott a new course only 10 minutes out of town. And many more !!
Riding heaven - several excellent stables , great beach rides for the more experienced , lots of opportunities for treking on Exmoor or just a hack around a farm all nearby.
Tennis in the park in Ilfracombe - Barnstaple now has a large tennis complex with in and outdoor courts.
Swimming pool 5 minutes walk from the cottage - or go to Croyde for a fun swim with the children!!
Cycling - Tarka trail starts at Braunton 10 minutes drive away you take a ride along the estuary for miles on the flat.
Quad biking available at 2 of the farms on the edge of the town.
Wonderful area for walking on the moors or along the coastal path - great for dogs !!!
Many attractions in the area - Wildlife Park at Combe Martin, Watermouth Castle, Arlington Court - National Trust property, Clovely - cobbled village, Dartington Crystal factory - cut price glasses !!, Atalantic Village - outlet shops, farm based attractions - Big Sheep or Milky Way great for kids.
Also a great theatre.
Wonderful choice of restaurents including Damien Hurst's new venture Quay 11 where the food is great and you can view his original art.
Excellent choice of restaurents in the town you can sample in many the wonderful locally caught fish and shellfish, excellent locally produced Devon meats as well as food from Spain, France, Italy and India. Lots of old pubs serving excellent snacks & meals.
In all a great place for a family holiday or romantic getaway!!
