About the home

A beautiful 4 star holiday apartment offering floor to ceiling windows in living area and master bedroom taking advantage of the wonderful sea vista. Accessed via a communal internal staircase, the inner hallway leads to a stylish open plan living area with a well equipped kitchen to one side. An extending table & chairs are provided for dining. A convenient cloakroom is accessed off the hallway. The two bedrooms are carpeted for comfort and both attractively presented.

Situated in an ideal location, On The Rocks is within a short stroll of the Tunnels Beaches, a selection of shops, restaurants, traditional pubs and the Landmark Theatre. The nearby harbour offers pleasure cruises and fishing trips and keen walkers will enjoy the spectacular coastal paths. A perfect choice for any time of the year.

The Ilfracombe area

Ilfracombe is a traditional holiday resort positioned between the Exmoor National Park to the east and the glorious beaches of North Devon's golden coast to the west.

By Train. To Exeter via Intercity service and on to Barnstaple on the Tarka line. Regular bus service from Barnstaple to Ilfracombe. National Express coach service to Ilfracombe.

By Ferry. Service from Swansea expected to start in 2011.

“Fantastic apartment - highly recommended” I can't fault the accommodation at all. All rooms were finished and furnished to a very high standard and the lovely big windows in the lounge and front bedroom gave great views over Ilfracombe and out to sea. Booking the apartment couldn't have been easier and the owners were prompt with the booking information and easily available by phone and e-mail. Ilfracombe was a lovely place to stay, although it's pretty hilly and all roads back to the apartment were quite steep if you're walking. Great apartment, great value for money.

“Excellent accommodation, clean and confortable - everything needed for a self catering holiday.” High standard accommodation, clean and well equiped. Several large steps down to the accommodation so would not recommend for anyone with walking difficulties and it may be difficult with small children.

“Lovely property” Property has two very spacious bedrooms and is well decorated and well maintained. Lovely big windows with views out to sea and only a minute or twos walk to the high street. There is wireless Internet access available and a collection of board games and DVDs. The owners' communication was great and couldn't recommend it enough.

“Beautiful apartment” A beautiful apartment with fantastic views. I can not recommend this apartment highly enough. Home from home. Wi-fi kept the teenager happy. After being out for the day we looked forward to getting back to the apartment to relax.

“Great accomodation in a wonderful area” Wonderful week in excellent accomodation close to the centre of Ilfracombe. We have two young boys, who loved the views and nautical themes around the apartment as much as we did. Very happy to recommend.

“Beautiful flat with an amazing view equipped with everything you could possibly need” A wonderful flat, beautifully decorated which I would recommend to couples and families. It's perfectly positioned and is well equipped. The pictures on the website do not do this place justice, we didn't want to leave!

“FAB U LUSE” this apartment is absolutely fab. myself and two friends stayed here for 3nights end of june as we were going to a wedding at tunnels beach which is a 5min walk away the weather wasnt very nice while we were there. it was a pleasure to get back to the apartment after being out and about to dry off and relax, the apartment feels homley clean and modern with everything you would expect at home even down to dvd,s to watch,books to read the main living area has a sea view so just to sit with a drink and look at view was great the main bedroon also looks out to sea so when you wake and pull back the curtains that is what you can see lying in bed,there is also and arm chair and foot stool to sit in to look out to sea in the opposite direction to the bed the owners to this apartment have thought of everything to make this apartment fab especially how spotlessly clean it is i would like to point out you do not enter the apartment from the front of the building you enter from the back where you are allocated a parking bay which is great as parking round the area can be hard to find if you have walking dificulties getting down the steeps to the apartment could be difficult as they are quite steep

“Excellent stay at 'On The Rocks'” We had a great weekend in Ilfracombe. What a lovely apartment, beautifully decorated throughout. The children loved their room and loved the jigsaw and books. Every little detail had been thought of.

“Beautiful views from a beautiful apartment” The apartment has fantastic views over looking the sea and is decorated to a high spec and was also very clean. Both bedrooms are spacious and warm and the main bed is soooo comfy. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend ON THE ROCKS to anyone. The owners made booking very easy and we will be going back.

“Perfect holiday retreat. Highly recommend a visit.” On the Rocks is a fantastic holiday rental. As you enter the flat you are taken back by the amazing view from the large window. The flat has everything you need and more. Very clean and tidy .Stylish interior. Position of the flat in Ilfracombe is central to everywhere. 10 mins from Barnstaple & Saunton Sands & short distance from Lynton & Lynmouth. Will definately be returning.

“A lovely apartment with fantastic views” We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. The apartment is spacious, spotless and has the most wonderful views. The finishing touches such as the games and dvds were a delight to find. Incredibly comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen were the icing on the cake! “Fantastic modern appartment - very well equipped” The appartment is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a holiday - with a lot of thought to those with young children. Beautifully clean and well maintained it was a fantasic place to stay and I would not hesitate to reccommend this to anyone.

“A Great Place to Stay” Really love this apartment which is in a great location with amazing views from the large sash windows. It's really spacious, clean and the decor is georgeous, just how you want a seaside home to be. Wi-fi is an added bonus. You are soon down the hill into town for shops and eating places, of which there are loads to choose from. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need and also loads of information on places to go, things to do etc. Nothing not to like.
