Home description
The house is located in the south of the île de Ré, in the small village Sainte Marie-La Noue. The beach is 80 metres away, and you can access it through the dunes and take advantage of the wonderful smell of the ocean mixed with nature. This is the perfect place to rest. You can drive, take a bicycle or walk to the village centre (2.5 km) to the bakery, air-market, fish-shop, restaurants, cafés and ice-cream maker.
You can benefit from the ocean as well as from the Jacuzzi -with its massages.... The house is furnished and has just been renovated, there are three bedrooms, two upmarket bathrooms with Italian showers, an American kitchen with a bar in exotic wood, a living room, a patio in which you will find the Jacuzzi and a barbecue outside with garden furniture so you can have a seat in the 600 m² yard.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Charente Maritime region
Located on the west coast of France between Nantes and Bordeaux, the department of Charente-Maritime is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and for its oyster farms and salt flats. La Rochelle with its historic architecture lies at the centre of the department and is the access point for the bridge of Ile de Ré. Ile de Re / Sainte-Marie area
The Ile de Ré is a beautiful island composed of ten villages, long of 30 km famous for its landscapes with 70 kilometres of coast, nature reserves and authenticity, its salt, oysters and its potatoes. You can enjoy all this in the many restaurants scattered throughout the island’s villages. The island is regarded as a French island paradise. Attracted by the island's beauty, many artists, writers and painters set up in l'île de Ré.
The waters around the Ile de Ré are loved by all watersports enthusiasts – windsurfers, yachtsmen and all sailors. To make your way around the island, get yourself a bike – it is by far the easiest and healthiest way to travel. There are more than 60 miles of specially adapted cycle paths which link all the main villages, woodland, marshes and beaches. In addition, the island is exceptionally flat so hard work is kept to a minimum. You can hire bikes, child seats, carriages in the multitude of rental shops throughout the island.
How to get there
BY ROAD La Rochelle is in the middle of the Atlantic facade, midway between Nantes (140 km from La Rochelle) and Bordeaux (190 km from La Rochelle). Since 1988, the island of Ré is linked up in Rochelle by a bridge with toll along 3 km.

Further details outdoors: It is really easy to rent a bike on the Island. You will find a renter in the village centre. Moreover there is a place dedicated to bicycles in the garden.
