About the home

Well-decorated villa with a large living-room with a central fireplace, a fenced yard, 10 minutes walk from the beach, 5 minutes drive from restaurants, open -air market, supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, 50 m from bike routes.

The villa is located just ten minutes' walk from the beach, on the outskirts of the village of La Noue. Quiet and peaceful, yet only ten minutes from the larger village such as Saint-Martin, the villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local market and many excellent restaurants for eating out. HEATED POOL under construction. Ready from June 1st 2013.

The house has a large living-room with an open fully equipped kitchen and a central fireplace, sofas, a baby chair, high chairs at the bar, one bedroom with a king size bed, 1 bedroom with bunk beds and 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with 1 queen size bed, and 1 bedroom with a queen size bed including a sink and toilet.
Cards games (UNO, 1000 bornes, Solitaire, Cluedo...) and books are available as well as badminton . Wifi access. Heated salted Pool 32 ft x 16 ft under construction. Ready from June 1st 2013

Two miles off the Atlantic coast of France, facing La Rochelle, lies the Ile de Re. It's an island of whitewashed fishermen's villages, fine sand beaches, wild hollyhocks, salt marshes and a luminosity so subtle and intense that it can move the most prosaic visitors to grab their watercolours and try to capture the shimmering reflections of the light at low tide.

The Ile de Re / Sainte-Marie area

Ile de Re shares the privilege with the Cote d'Azur of being one of the sunniest regions of France. Its climate is mild, and the temperature almost never goes below freezing. Its vegetation is surprisingly southern, almost Mediterranean. Pine trees and palms grow there easily, and the glare of the white houses against the deep blue sky irresistibly evokes some Greek village adrift on the Atlantic Ocean.

You can relax at the Spa centre L'Atalante or go horseback riding, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, surfing or biking. Numerous biking routes also ideal for jogging.
