Green Trees has been decorated with a delicate taste in the Ile de Ré style, it is a charming home with 1 en -suite and another 2 bedrooms sharing one bathroom.
It is a quiet , secluded and tranquil setting, home to an incredible variety of plant and bird life.
The village has its own daily fresh produce market, offering high quality fresh fish and locally farmed oysters, cheese and patisserie. Everything is within walking distance including two very nice restaurants overlooking the sea, a newsagent, 3 bike hire shops, a chemist and a supermarket.

Nearby la Rochelle is a beautiful historical town with its famous harbour, and amazing Museums, the famous Aquarium (the first in Europe!), enjoy a walk along the harbour boarded with nice "cafés", and excellent restaurants. La Rochelle has a wonderful array of individual shops. In July, we can book for you tickets at the famous musical festival which takes place every year in la Rochelle (the Francofolies).
In September you can profit by visiting the boat show, or culteral events like"Sites en scene"in the summer; a movie Festival. La Rochelle is a well known start for many international sailing races. For a worthwhile day trip take the pleasure boat (you can purchase your ticket on the harbour) to Fort Boyard, or the different islands of the Pethuis: Oléron, Aix and Madame...
Ile de Re / Rivedoux Plage area
Ile de Ré, off La Rochelle is linked to the mainland by a bridge. It offers an idealized version of French life. Cars are in the minority; most people use cycle paths that criss-cross the island's vineyards, pine forests and salt flats. Ile de Ré salt is now predictably fashionable in gasto circles.
The ice cream is hand made and the glorious sandy beaches-all open to the public-are well suited to shrimping and picnics. Just 15 km long and a mere100 metres at its narrowest point, the Island of Ré is home to 16000 people. The residents congregate around ten main large villages, including Rivedoux On ré southern side you will find many expansive beaches and on its northern side many typical yachting harbours.
Though most visitors arrive in summer, Ré has much to offer throughout the year-the temperature may drop after September, but the sun is ever present all year round. Ré's close proximity to mainland cities make it an ideal place as a base camp to explore other cities (Bordeaux and Nantes are just 1 hour and a half away; La Rochelle a mere 15 minutes). The construction of a bridge in 1988 puts everything within very close proximity.

Further details indoors: The cosy and sunny living room, separated from the well equipped American style kitchen (fridge, freezer, electric cooker, micro wave, dishwasher and washing machine) which in turn opens onto the bloom terrace linked to a splendid private wood. The house has a digital TV, DVD player and Wi-fi available.
The bloom terrace has a table, large enough for 8 people, there is also an outside shower, sun loungers and a barbecue.
