The house, built in traditional Canarian style is well furnished and comfortable and the village of Buen Paso makes an ideal location as a base to explore this interesting and varied region of North West Tenerife.

The accommodation is over three floors with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a further two single bedrooms. The private and secluded sun terrace affords stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and behind you is the imposing Mount Teide.

Plenty of wardrobe storage. TV with UK stations, movies etc. Air conditioning which also can operate as heater for occasional cooler evening through the winter months. Both bathrooms have shower cubicle. All three bedrooms have very good views.

The house has its own private and secluded garden where you can relax in the lush sub tropical area created by the wonderful palms and unusual planting. A table and seating are provided for alfresco dining.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife is a year round destination with an enviable climate. Warm winters and summers that very rarely get too hot due to the cooling effect of the Atlantic. The scenery of this part of the island is beautiful and diverse. You are always in sight of Mount Teide, the highest peak in the whole of Spain. In winter it can be snow capped but at the coast it is always warm.

Icod de los Vinos

Buen Paso is a village on the sloping hills of North Tenerife around 6 miles (10km)from the charming and historically fascinating town of Garachico. There are several restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance of the house. The house makes an ideal base from which to explore the North.

A car is recommended to explore the area. This part of Tenerife is lush and green and surrounded by banana plantations. Many of the Canary Islands best wines come from this area and many vineyards offer tours and tastings. There is a safe beach nearby in the quaint village of Playa San Marcos.

Icod itself is well worth a visit to see the extraordinary Drago tree . It is also a bustling town with many shops and restaurants.

"Charming traditional Canarian house"

Spacious house with all you would need for your holiday. Well situated for attractions in the North of the island. Nice roof top terrace with uninterrupted views to the sea and Mt Teide. Owner on hand to assist with any queries and impart local knowledge.

"Great base to explore the north side of the island from"

The house was as described ,it was spacious and clean,we liked the large kitchen /diner as well as the sun terrace and garden to choose from.The house has air conditioning but we felt we did not need to use it as it is a cool house.
A car is essential for exploring,but supermarkets and a couple of restaurants are within walking distance.
Car parking is in the road right outside your own personal entrance to the courtyard,be sure to follow the instructions to the property as it is at the end of a one way street.
David the owner is very helpful and friendly ,anything you need to know just ask.
We enjoyed our stay there very much.

"Peaceful Retreat"

We wanted a quiet retreat as a base to explore the north of Tenerife, and this house met our requirements perfectly. It was extremely spacious, having four bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, roof terrace and lovely enclosed garden. And it was excellent value for money.
The British owner, who lives in the adjoining property, was friendly and helpful and we felt very much at home here. From the roof terrace there are views of the sea and Mt Teide, when it is clear. There was no pool, no entertainments and no noise, which were all important plus points for us, but there was a friendly bar/restaurant (called 'Stop'!) within walking distance and more restaurants and shops a short drive away. We had a rental car, but it would be possible to use buses to get about too.
Those seeking a beach holiday rubbing shoulders with fellow holidaymakers need to be on the other side of the island.
