The timeless ambiance of one of the world's top 10 most beautiful islands will surround you in the small village of Sveta Nedjelja, home to one of Croatia's most prestigious wineries as well as a picture perfect marina along the rocky coast. The water is warm and crystal clear! Two of Hvar's best pebble beaches are nearby. It is a short walk to the sea and to the village church and market. There are numerous hiking trails, and it is a great location for mountain biking and climbing. There are two fantastic waterside restaurants within walking distance and many others within a short drive.

The nearby town (12 km) of Jelsa has its own winery and many konobas--wine bars serving food and the owner's home made wine. Hvar is Croatia's sunniest island with over 2700 hours of sunshine per year. Jelsa and Hvar town offer outdoor concerts and music festivals during the summer months. The culture and history of the area goes back thousands of years!

The Dalmatia region

The island of Hvar is approximately 40 km wide and 11 km long as it runs perpendicular to the Dalmatian coast. While closer to Split via access by ferry from the north, the easternmost point is a closer distance to the mainland and about 140 km from Dubrovnik and Medjagorje is only about 40 km from Drvnik, the mainland town where the ferry docks. Dubrovnik , Split's Diocletian Palace and Hvar's Stari Grad plain are UNESCO World Heritage sites and offer a wealth of cultural and historic sites to see.

The Krka National Park with its magnificent waterfalls and breathtaking scenery can be accessed via a Day Tour from Hvar, as well as river rafting on the Cetina River, day trips to Bol on the next island of Brac to enjoy the world famous Zlatini Rat (Golden Cape) and Brac marble quariies and sea sculptures, or to the islands of Vis/Besiva to see the blue cave and even to the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. Or just sit back, relax, enjoy the unparelled view from Vila Vino's spacious balconies and enjoy Croatia's only Grand Cru wine from the renowned Zlatan Otok winery right next door!
