Entrance is into an attractive, spacious hall, with a door leading into the main bedroom with en-suite shower room. Also from the hall are stairs to the character living rooms, which are heavily beamed with vaulted ceilings throughout.
The modern kitchen/diner has a good range of cupboards and work surfaces and is fully equipped. Incorporated in the kitchen is the dining table and chairs. An open beamed room divider leads to the comfortable lounge with a large sofa, armchair and floor cushions.
A second set of stairs from the hall leads up to a uniquely designed first floor, with the staircase splitting to run parallel, separated by open beams, to provide separate access to a family bathroom and a further two cosy bedrooms. One bedroom has twin beds, a small built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers and the other is smaller with one single bed.
The bathroom is stylish and wood finished with a bath, wash hand basin and w.c.
The well-tended mature garden, overlooks a small paddock with garden furniture and fire pit for you to sit and enjoy the quite and lovely country air. Use of the owner’s tennis court is available on request.

The Kent region
Kent offers something for everyone from enchanting castles to blue flag beaches. Steeped in history and heritage, it's iconic landmarks include Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover but you'll also find delightful villages and country pubs serving delicious local food from the Garden of England.
The two main towns are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells both of which boast a perfect mix of history, culture, leisure and entertainment.
Hunton is a rural village within an area of outstanding natural beauty with many lovely walks starting from the barn. Five minutes away, Yalding is a thriving Kentish village with many pretty, old buildings and a good choice of amenities; pubs, cafe, shop, post office and a great Thai restaurant. The Hop Farm is 10 minutes away which has many special events through the year. Bedgebury Pinetum is close by with miles of bike trails of all levels. See our website for more details of activities and attractions in the area but situated between London and the coast, your only problem will be deciding what to leave for next time!

"Lovely stay in a cosy beam-filled cottage!"
If you are looking for somewhere that is full of character but also comfortable and well-equipped, I would definitely recommend the Woolhouse Barn! Full of nooks and crannies (and plenty of beams), and with everything you need for a family holiday.( Wi-Fi available but must be paid for.) Lucy the owner who lives next door provided a welcome pack and was extremely helpful, answering our many questions about things to do locally. Lovely garden and tennis court which we would have used more if the weather had been better. The location is idyllic, on the edge of a village with walks right from the doorstep, open fields and beautiful big skies - a novelty for us as we live in hilly Yorkshire! Great for cycling, walks and spotting kingfishers. There are plenty of pubs nearby - the Walnut Tree in Yalding, within walking distance, was a lovely place and the food excellent. Despite feeling as though you are in the middle of nowhere, there is supermarket a short drive away and Maidstone is only a few miles. The motorways are also very close for trips to London, Canterbury, Dover etc., but the big draw for us was the many historical properties nearby - Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Ightham Mote, Tonbridge Castle and so many more we didn't have time to see. Kent was a big surprise for us - a county we normally rush through on our way down to the Channel but would definitely recommend as a place to visit, especially if you like your history. Would love to return soon!
