Spacious Victorian house with many original features ideally situated in a nice residential area just a 5 minute walk from Hunstanton's beautiful sandy beach, and a 7 minute walk from the town centre with its independent shops and restaurants. Dogs are welcome, and dog-friendly pubs and places to visit can be recommended upon arrival if required. The house is very child friendly and a supply of toys and games for young children can be found in the rear lounge which could be used as a playroom.

Description of house:

Downstairs - Hall with stairs leading to 1st floor. Door to lounge which has a flat screen TV, Sky TV, and a DVD player. Door leading to rear lounge with a selection of toys for young children and a sofa bed (ideal if an elderly guest cannot manage the stairs). Door from hall to downstairs cloakroom which has a toilet and washbasin, washing machine, and tumble drier. Door from hall to spacious kitchen with fitted units, a fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A door leads to the small enclosed back garden.

Upstairs - Front bedroom is spacious with a king size bed. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, the original built in wardrobe, and the original fire surround. Bedroom 3 has adult sized bunk beds. Bedroom 4 has a king size bed, the original built in wardrobe, and the original fire surround. The bathroom has a toilet, wash basin, and a bath with shower over.

"needs a lot of TLC"

The locks on front on front door in bad condition could take up to10 mins to open , lights in hall failed, no replacement bulbs. also the bed collapsed on first night.Back way could not be used gate w… More

This rather unreasonable review was left by an elderly couple who stayed for the last 2 weeks. Re the locks: They are not in 'bad condition', the guests who stayed the previous week and the couple who are staying this week are having no problems. Lights in hall failed: They knocked on my door to tell me a 'light had failed', I immediately went to the house to find a bulb had gone which I replaced straight away. Bed: They said the central bar had twisted so I offered to replace it straight away as I had a spare one but they told me not to and said they preferred sleeping in the back double bedroom. I replaced it on Saturday ready for the new guests arriving. Back gate: I explained to them that the rear alleyway is not safe to use and is overgrown so I have secured the gate. Cutting holiday short: they told me that if the 'weather turns wet we will leave early' - which it did so they left 2 days early (out of 14). Owner of no help: I replaced the bulb and offered to change the bar in the bed. I made sure they knew that I have a shop in the High Street so they know where to find me if they needed anything. The guests who are staying this week actually called into my shop to tell me how nice the house is and how it's much bigger than it looks, and what a lovely time they are having. This is a very popular house which is booked for most of the year.
