A great British holiday the weather cannot spoil!
Although listed as disabled this can be used by able-bodied persons as well.
If you struggle finding holidays and places to stay and then getting there and struggling with inadequate mobility aids or even finding there are none at all, then this is the place for you. I spent years doing just the same before I started doing my own places.
Parking straight outside the caravan.
This wheelchair accessible Pemberton sovereign caravan sleeps six, and benefits from full gas central heating (radiator in every room), double glazing throughout, with insulated walls, floor and a combi-boiler. And it is on sand le mere holiday village Seaside Ln, Tunstall, Hull, North Humberside
Access is via a ramp with outdoor dining area with tables and chairs and a briquette barbecue (please bring your own briquettes). This also has a gate for security, with flush floor entry through an extra wide door into the lounge.
The main bedroom has two single beds with one being electric Craftmatic with massage and recline function. Ceiling track with bars for paraplegics. With a TV which has Freeview and DVD player, wardrobe and chest of drawers. (Single duvets/pillows are supplied and waterproof mattress protectors on each bed)

The lounge is spacious with a drop leaf table for dining with four chairs (if needed you could use outdoor chairs as well), with ample sofa space with one being a double sofa bed (two single duvets/pillows supplied and one double waterproof mattress protector).
There is a TV which has Freeview and a DVD player (should be some DVDs so the kids don't get bored while you're getting ready. Also a cosy gas fire.
There is a clothes airer and vacuum, iron and ironing board.
All rooms have a radiator in for those cold times.
Our Park overlooks Tunstall beach; bustling Hull and pretty Beverley are in easy reach, and fabulous attractions such as the deep, which is one of the world's most spectacular aquariums, and spend point, a beautiful nature reserve, are nearby. If you like to venture further afield, you can have fantastic days out at York, Bridlington, Scarborough and many more.
The park itself has a brand-new indoor heated swimming pool with cushioned floor around the pool. There are wheelchair changing rooms and a wheelchair WC. (I am in the process of negotiating with them to have a pool hoist fitted, will keep us updated as possible) there are flumes and slides etc and they even have the giant water balls at certain times. The complex itself has electric doors with level access throughout. There is an indoor play area, and Arcade section with lots of different amusements to keep the kids happy and adults. There is a kids club with lots of entertainment for the children. There is a function room with stage area with entertainment. There is a separate dining room with sky TV. There is a little Cafe with sky TV that overlooks the swimming pool so you can keep an eye on your children without the noise and getting wet. For the energetic ones there is a gymnasium.
Outdoors there is an outdoor play area and crazy golf section with tables and chairs for dining. They do archery and other sports etc.
This is a fantastic location for anyone who loves fishing whether you are vastly experienced cast out for the 1st time we have our own well stocked fishing lake on the Park and the cost from Bridlington to spurn point is popular with beach anglers infected so good we were chosen to host the annual European beach fishing championships in 2013 sand le mere holiday village overlooks Tunstall beach which is why the oceans cost many great settings for beach fishing. On the lake rod licences are £5 per day or £20 for the week under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult there are some 30lb whoppers please see website for any of the details the warden will visit you for payment. There are two disabled pegs with wheelchair access. Just go down and get yourself a PEG and the warden will come and visit you for payment. It is £5 per day or £20 for the week. Please note under 14 years old must supervised.
Please ask or check out the details on the website, you need a pass per person to do any activity, but there are other charges for some activities. This pass will also get you a discount on food etc the passes are £20 per adult per week and £14 for children per week.
If you are registered disabled you will get one free pass for someone in your party. (If you have difficulty organising this with reception please let me know and I'll sort it out) if you only go for a short break the passes are cheaper for three or four days or so.
This lovely corner of England boasts a cosmopolitan city, colourful seaside resorts, a jawdropping coastline and miles and miles of tranquil countryside. Whether it's sandcastles on the beach or at night on the tiles, clambering over cliffs or strolling around a stately home, we've got it covered. With so many experiences and attractions just waiting to be explored-all at tremendous value for money prices-you can come in so much more. Whether it's a full fortnights holiday or flying weekend break, and with no air travel, the only footprints you leave on the golden sands.
There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the Park which takes you to nearby towns. (I need to find out whether this is a low-level entry bus before I recommend it.)
All electric and gas is included
This site is open 11 months of the year, we only shut in January for one month.
Please note the pool and some other activities/rooms are shut from 1 December until 21st March. If you're wanting to book in this period please check out the website or contact the Park for details of what is open or not. The park is sand-le-mere holiday
Please check out the website as this holiday Park is not one to be missed it is just like Butlins without the pricetag It will give you and your little ones a fantastic holiday packed full of entertainment. Housetrained Pets are very welcome at no extra charge. (Please pick up after your pet's and obey the Park rules at all times).
There is no access from the Park to the beach with a wheelchair, but Withernsea is 10 min drive and you can access the beach from there.
There is a mobility shop in Withernsea called Roberts mobility that will hire mobility scooters etc on Queen Street. Please let me know if there's anything else you need to know and I will do my best to find out for you. In the meantime thank you for looking and hope to hear from you soon.
I supply duvets pillows and waterproof mattress protectors but you will need to bring duvet covers sheets pillowcases towels and tea towels and your toothbrush.
