New in 2014. A beautiful detached ,fully refurbished stone built cottage set in stunning grounds , near Emley,Huddersfield. The cottage affords stunning views over the Yorkshire countryside, and the on site owners are available to help if needs be. The nearby Award winning 3 Acres pub and restaurant is only a minute away. There is a small pitch and putt course on site.

A car is essential. Nearby shops at Skelmanthorpe are only a 5 minute drive away, and just a mile down the road is Dearnleas farm who produce home made cakes and their famous ice cream.

The location is ideal for visiting Holmfirth, Huddersfield, the West Yorkshire moors and Wakefield , and is in easy reach of the M1 motorway. Kirklees light gauge railway at Clayton West is a narrow gauge steam railway only 3 miles away. Bretton Hall Sculpture Park, including works by Henry Moore, contemporary art exhibitions, parkland and a great day out is also just a few minutes drive.

The National mining museum at Wakefied, where you can go on underground d visits is just a 15 minute drive.

Other local attractions including the Strines, a local beauty spot ,the Metrodome in Barnsley, Holm Moss with its spectacular views, and the are lots of opportunities for cyclists,ramblers and for touring in your car.

In the wider area, and all about an hours drive include Meadowhall shopping centre ,the Tarfford centre ,Manchester, the Peak district and Leeds City centre.

Yorkshire is the largest county in has an ever changing landscape from Pennines dales to east coast beaches of Whitby,Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. The north York Moors are a favourite tourist destination, with small market towns and villages well worth visiting.

The county town of York is the regional capital and is only a 40 minute drive. There is a vast array of tourist destinations here and the city is well worth a visit. Another famous tourist attraction is Dalby forest and the North Yorks moors railway runs from Pickering to Whitby with stunning scenery on rout.


The cottage is set in the picturesque rolling hills, with numerous towns and villages in the area. Last of the summer wine was filmed in Holmfirth, the Royal in Whitby and Heartbeat at Goathland in the North York Moors.

Another famous landmark and tourist attraction is Brimham Rocks,which has been a filming location for many films, and also in Emmerdale. The weathered rock formations are spectacular and create a very unusual landscape which is well worth a visit.
