The Central Thailand / Bangkok / Prachuab Khiri Khan region

Hua Hin, just 200km south of Bangkok, a pleasant 3-hour drive or a 45 minute small plane journey, is fast becoming the destination in Thailand. You can experience leafy, picturesque village streets, enchanting long stretches of beach and authentic Thai seafood restaurants overlooking tranquil views of fishing boats far out to sea.
Providing a perfect holiday destination for couples and families alike, Hua Hin is only just making it into the tour operators brochure. Enjoy the luxury of unspoiled beaches where the emphasis is on peaceful relaxation.
The Hua Hin area
If you want to do more than laze away your days by the beach, or if you need to entertain the kids, Hua Hin has a myriad of activities from horse riding, elephant riding, fishing, water sports, quad-bike riding, grand prix racing, not to mention all the golf courses in the area.
Whether shopping at the night market or eating out in the wide range of restaurants along the seafront, you and your family will not want to leave this unique town.
There are lots of things to see and do in and around Hua Hin. You can hire your own car or we can help you find a car and driver to visit the waterfalls, go to the nearby National parks or visit secluded bays and coves around the area.
If you wish to venture further, Kaeng Krachan National Park extends along the Burmese border from Petchburi Province, north of Hua Hin. Thailand’s first marine national park, Khao Sam Roi Yot, is approximately 35 km to the south. Additionally, in Kanchanaburi province there are five more national parks, Erawan, Sai Yoke, Sri Nakarin, Khao Laem and Chalerm Rattanakosin, all of which are easily accessible.
For those fashion conscious folk in your party a trip to the fashion outlets, north of Hua Hin, is a great way to stock up on designer labels at market prices.
The night market is a must with a vast array of stalls offering anything from clothes and bags to DVDs to the delights of traditional Thai street cuisine.
In 1926, King Rama VII built the Klai Kangon (meaning Far From Worries) Palace in the town, which is often visited by the King and his family. To this day, Hua Hin remains one of the Thai Royal Family’s favourite destinations, thereby avoiding some of the mistakes made in the development of other areas of Thailand.
From its quaint railway station, built in the 1920’s, to its 5-star luxury spa resorts and 8 international golf courses within 30 km, Hua Hin is an ideal place in which to live, holiday or invest.
The proximity of the house to the beach as well as to Hua Hin town makes it a fantastic place to relax and an ideal base to explore sites around Hua Hin such as national parks, waterfalls and fantastic beaches. Beautiful Khao Takiab beach, which stretches for miles, is a 2-min. stroll from the house. To the left of the beach is Monkey Mountain and a small fishing village. Unlike Hua Hin town beach which is rather narrow, Khao Takiab beach is wide and expansive and is wonderful for swimming, playing and simply walking. There is horse riding, water sports and massage/manicure services available on the beach. Or if you just want to relax, you can sit at one of the beach cafes for a fresh fish lunch or use the deckchairs provided.
Elephant riding and other activities are a short ride away. Very close to the house you can also find quad-bike riding for those adventurous enough to ride around the dirt tracks. For golf enthusiasts, you can find a range of golf courses nearby. What better way to enjoy your golfing holiday than staying by the beach and heading to the links when you want to play?
On the way into Hua Hin town, before passing through the small village of Khao Takiab, you pass by some of the sacred temples in the area which glitter at night. In addition to the many amenities, restaurants and shops in Hua Hin, there are good restaurants and small shops within walking distance from the house.
There are lots of things to see and do in and around Hua HIn. You can hire your own car or we can help you find a car and driver to visit the waterfalls, go to the nearby National parks or visit secluded bays and coves in the area. If you are interested in fashion then you will certainly want to visit the Factory Outlets between Bangkok and Hua Hin.

We had a great time. The house is on different levels and has been decorated by a designer and everything is very stylish. It was very quiet with a communual garden, nice pool and coffee shop. The beach is the high point - endless sand as far as the eye can see and only2 minutes from the house. We loved it! |
Guestbook for Hua Hin holiday home rental
Three friends and I stayed at the townhouse in January 2011, using it as a base to get to the variety of golf courses in the region. The place is spacious, clean and only a moment's walk to the beach. Dha looks after the place and is always around to help out with anything you may need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the townhouse and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Hua Hin region.
David B. and family
Really comfortable, luxuriously decorated house, well located near to the beach and good restaurants. A great, relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.
