The Central Thailand / Bangkok / Prachuab Khiri Khan region

Hua Hin (Thailand), the beach town for Bangkok's elite is on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand, 170 km south of Bangkok and lying astride Highway 4.

Hua Hin is now the natural retreat for the Thai Royal family, Bangkok's high society and affluent foreigners.

Visitors to Hua Hin will sense the atmosphere of old world charm and the vibrant new shopping mall at the "Market Village". Beside fun filled days at the beach there are a host of water sports and 7 international golf courses.

The surrounding area boasts parks, peaks, caves and waterfalls and is an ideal starting point for adventure trips. Hua Hin restaurants offer a superb selection of sea food and Thai cusine.

...and did we mention the elephant trekking, fishing trips, boating and kayaking, diving and snorkelling, Thai massage, Historic Buddist Wats (temples), Thai boxing, carting, cooking courses and and the local markets and festivals!


Hua Hin area

Hua Hin has 5 miles of white sandy beaches.

It boasts an array of water sports. Leisure activities are available for the whole family. (including para gliding, wind surfing, horse trekking, jet skis and banana boat rides etc)

There are 7 world class golf courses, with cheap green fees and high quality services.

There are 100's of fabulous bars, restaurants and clubs for the whole family and to suit all tastes.

Hua Hin is not a 24 hours city like Bangkok or Pattaya. Late night activities are limited to one street and are far from all the residential areas.

The Klai Kangwon palace which was built as a royal summer residence in early 1920's, is often visited by the King and his family. Because of the King's presence, the town is surrounded by garrisons of troops including the elite parachute regiment and the Air Arm of the Royal Thai Police. The Crime rate is very low, no gangs/triads/mafia/drug pushers are tolerated.

Districts around the surrounding area are clean and undeveloped. Nature lovers will find national parks, forest, waterfalls and caves which can be reached within 20-30 minutes.

Internet and telephone lines are highly available and competitively priced.

There is a good selection of Clinics, Modern Pharmacies, Hospitals. Supermarkets and delicatessens offering overseas products.

A 92-kilometre motorway is near completion. This will cut the driving time by one hour, giving both Bangkok residents and international travellers an easier commute.

The Hua Hin Market Village has now opened its doors. This huge complex hosts a Tesco Lotus Superstore, Homepro, the 3rd Major Cineplex in Thailand and a bowling centre, amongst other conveniences.


How to get there

Sand Villa is 2 km from the beach and 3km from the town centre. It is situated just off Soi 56 in an idyllic location. There are regular buses, mini buses and trains that run between Bangkok / HuaHin and return.
Air transfers are also available but there are weight restrictions.

Both the ground floor & the first floor consist of completely self contained private suites, which can be booked separately or together to sleep a maximum of 10 persons

You can book either the ground floor, the upper floor or all the whole of the villa can be rented out. (It all depends on your party size, your individual needs and how much room you want.) Both floors have open plan kitchens with hobs (the upper floor has an oven) and fridge freezers.

The ground floor is ideal for a couple with young children or for the elderly who don't fancy a flight of stairs. With its own private entrance this suite has direct access to the patio area and pool. The suite has two bedrooms with a shower room between the two bedrooms. The accommodation comfortably sleeps up to four people, both bedrooms having huge kingsize beds. The lounge area has a comfortable three seater sofa and two matching chairs, there is also a Rattan dining room table and chairs. The room also enjoys an adjoining open-plan kitchen equipped with hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. The lounge area and one of the bedrooms have air -conditioning whilst the other bedroom enjoys the benefit of a traditional fan.

The upper floor is great for a medium size group. The accommodation is accessible via an outside flight of stairs (which are unsuitable for the very young and very old alike). It has its own balcony where guests are able to view the spectacular Hua Hin sunset. The suite is furnished with three bedrooms (one en-suite) and a second shower room situated between the other two bedrooms. The accommodation comfortably sleeps up to six people, all three bedrooms having superior kingsize beds. The lounge area has a comfortable Rattan 3-seater sofa and matching chairs, dining room table and 6 chairs, TV and DVD player and accompanies an open-plan kitchen area which is fully equipped with an oven, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The lounge area and two of the bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning. The other bedroom has a traditional fan.

A weekly room service is available at a small extra cost if required..

The villa has its own 8 x 6 dip pool at the rear of the property. It is totally private. It is ideal for having a play and cooling down from the hot sun. Each swimming pool is connected to a central 24 hour pool system as in some states in the U.S.A. (There are no chemicals in the villa nor any noisy pumps in the garden, better water quality etc.)

Further details outdoors:
The villa boasts a ground floor terrace and an upper floor balcony where guests can relax and watch the sunset whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine.

The villa sits on a fully secured complex with 24/7 security. It has secure railings on 3 sides and backs onto a 6 ft high perimetre wall. It has electric gates, secure parking and an enlosed garage.

At the rear is a delightfully private 8 x 6 dip pool with 4 steps giving easy access for young and old.

There is also a concrete table and chairs situated at the rear of the villa , together with sun loungers for that private outdoor meal, relaxing drink, game of cards etc..

Transfers (at very competetive rates) to and from Bangkok Airport or your Bangkok Hotel can be arranged if prior notice is given.
