The Central Thailand / Bangkok / Prachuab Khiri Khan region
The central Thailand region differs in climate from other areas in Thailand in that it is not subject to the weather extremes that effect the north and south. Hua Hin area is the oldest seaside resort in Thailand and the location of the Royal Palace, therefore due to the steady climate this area has become a hidden Oasis for Europeans. The latest threats of Sumai's which have been a treat to SE Asia does not affect this area as it is the Gulf of Siam and protected from such oceanic events.Due to the placid inland sea's the people of Bangkok and surrounding areas have made this preferred place to spend thier time , bypassing Hua Hin and the tourist magnets of Phuket and Pattaya. The area is steeped in Thai culture and tradiation with numerous temples and tradiational celebrations in which the visitors to the area are more then welcome to participate. This is real Thailand..See below some comments from others regarding a general description of the surrounds.
"Khao Takiab has many condominiums and villas bordered by the beautiful main Hua Hin beach leading to Monkey Mountain and the fishing port. It is noted for its still rural flavor where traditional seafood restaurants stand alongside stylish new bars. The area is set for further development with new additions of condominiums and beachside properties. All this is a mere stone’s throw from all the central amenities of Hua Hin. Khao Tao is only 10 kms along the popular Petchkasem Road and boasts two of the finest beaches (Soi Noi and South Pine) long regarded as ‘hidden jewels’ by the local community. Developers have taken advantage of land that features sea views and mountain backdrops offering their residents a more tranquil lifestyle, and in many cases, more space from larger house plots. Khao Tao is dominated by the beautiful Golden Buddha and has the fishing village below. The Royal Lake, Royal Summer Palace and Milford Golf Course are nearby. Pranburi maintains a more traditional feel with a large town centre with useful facilities. Its coastline stretches 10 kms south with hotels and small resorts in idyllic locations. Many housing developments are underway offering in some circumstances lower pricing to its near neighbour of Hua Hin without compromising on quality. Home buyers here do not feel the need to visit Hua Hin on a frequent basis – instead preferring a truly rural and peaceful setting. Khao Kalok and Sam Roi Yot have an even more natural feel and are being pioneered by developers and individuals building beautiful tailor-made villas. The area features many calm bays, a National Park, Dolphin Bay and the opportunity to live side by side with friendly Thai locals.
The areas of Khao Takiab, Khao Tao, Pranburi, Khao Kalog and Sam Roi Yot stretch 4 km south from Hua Hin town centre along the Petchkasem Road until Sam Roi Yot less than 30 kms away. Calm beaches, fishing villages, panoramic sea views, temples and forest-clad mountains feature and make this area a good candidate for lifestyle living.

Hua Hin / Khao Kalok area
Some 30km south of Hua Hin is the peaceful bay of Khao Kalok. To reach this beach, you need to follow the main highway south to Pranburi, turn left to Pak Nam Pran and take the second major turn on the right. Follow this road for around 10km and take another right at the T-junction and follow the signs. A taxi should know the way and it'll take you approximately 30 mins to get there. The return price for a taxi should be in the region of 500-600 baht. Once you arrive, you'll find numerous restaurants set on the beach road overlooking the beach itself. Pick the one that takes your fancy and relax for a few hours getting cooled by sea breezes over some delicious food and drinks. You will find prices here considerably less expensive than Hua Hin and the locals are friendly and always happy to see new faces. Again, Khao Kalok can get busy at weekends, so bear this in mind. During the week, you can almost have the place to yourselves. Khao Kalok means "skull mountain" in English and the bay is long and wide. There is an interestingly formed cave on the south side with a hole through its middle. Swimming is reasonble at high tide and quad bikes are available for hire to explore the beach further. Alternatively, of course, you can just relax in the restaurant or on the beach. Khao Kalok makes for a good away-day from Hua Hin.
How to get there
Direct flight to Bangkok International airport then either a taxi to location ( approx 3.5hrs ) or small aircraft flight from Bangkok airport direct to Hua Hin ( approx 45 min ) then taxi from Hua Hin to location.Taxi arranged on request.

My wife and i enjoyed every moment from the time we got there to the time we left and having just spent 4 days in Bangkok, we both wished we had booked the whole time at your property. The best part was waking up in the morning and opening the bedroom door and walking straight into a lovely warm swimming pool......fantastic. So many other things were also delightful but i guess you already know most of them......once again thanks Trevor and Jen UK
