Impressive three bedroomed, three bathroomed detached Villa set in "The Heights Sea View Village", a beautifully maintained and sought after private walled development, surrounded on three sides by mountains.

A spacious well fitted kitchen leads to a separate dining room which opens onto poolside covered terraces. Sleeping accommodation is provided by a master en-suite double bedroom with sitting and dressing areas and two other generous sized bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own balcony and also opens onto a large terrace shared with the second double bedroom; both bedrooms have sea and mountain views. The third bedroom with two single beds, has its own balcony and has mountain views. Both second and third bedrooms overlook the swimming pool. In addition to the master en-suite bathroom, the property has two other bathrooms, and is fully air-conditioned throughout.

A large private swimming pool with jacuzzi and open air shower is set in attractive walled gardens featuring a small traditional Thai Summer House (Sala), and a fish pond. Ample parking is provided by a covered carport and private driveway.

The Heights Village Management Company takes the security of its Residents very seriously and provides a guard controlled entrance gate, security cameras and surveillance patrols maintained on a 24/7 basis.

HEIGHTS VILLAGE AND NEARBY

The Heights nestles in the foothills of the Hin Lek Fai Mountains which overlook the Hua Hin coastal plain. Village facilities include a large leisure area with its own communal swimming pool, toilets, open air shower, and fitness room. There are three Buddhist Temples and two Elephant Trekking Parks within walking distance. Several restaurants, bars and convenience stores can also be reached on foot or within a two or three minute drive. Minor road Route 3218 runs past the entrance gate and affords easy direct access to Hua Hin town centre, beaches and beyond. The distance of less than 2 miles is covered in just over 5 minutes at a cost of about £2.50 by local taxi or “tuk tuk”.

GOLF AND OTHER VERY LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

There are 9 golf courses within half an hours drive, one of which - Royal Hua Hin - the oldest in Thailand, is only five minutes away. Practise before you tee off at one of three purpose-built driving ranges nearby, the nearest can be reached in two minutes by car. Choose an original picture by one of several local and national artists from the excellent range on display at the Artists Village, close to the nearest driving range. Continuing a little further down the road, try your hand at catching one of the huge local and regional species of fish from the well stocked ponds at the Hua Hin Fishing Lodge. Or sit and sip a cold beer and sample the local cuisine whilst watching others try. Tackle, bait and helpful advice is on hand, they even take the fish off the hook for you!

PROVISIONS AND MEDICAL FACILITIES

The area is well served by various local daily markets and supermarkets with Tesco Lotus and Villa being among the most internationally recognisable. The well-stocked “Gee Un Tung” large local store offers a full range of Thai and western produce and is only three minutes away. All stores open until late, 7 days a week. Should you become unwell during your stay, the town provides a wide range of medical facilities as well as three international-standard Hospitals including a brand new ultra modern branch of Bangkok Hospital directly linked to the main hospital in Bangkok, and a newly constructed state hospital near the Palace, the top floor of which is reputed to be devoted entirely to looking after the King when he is in residence. Particularly noticeable is the existence of a wide choice of dental clinics, also providing modern state of the art treatment facilities at prices unheard of in the west. So much so that many visitors pay for their air fares with the savings they make by having dental treatment here rather than in their homeland.

HUA HIN TOWN

Once a small fishing village and still an operating fishing port, Hua Hin has developed into an international holiday resort served by virtually almost every major hotel chain. All the amenities that international tourists require have become established as the area has expanded, whilst still retaining old-world Thai charm and atmosphere. Both the town and its surrounding area are well provided for by a huge selection of Thai and International restaurants and bars. Sample local seafood at one of the many traditional restaurants built on stilts on the shoreline alongside the town centre.

SHOPPING, SHOPPING, SHOPPING.......

Shoppers will be impressed by the huge number and variety range of outlets ranging from the very basic market stalls right through to high end international shops selling all types of top-branded goods. Choose from a full range of Thai silk and many other fabrics and treat yourself to a new outfit for a fraction of western prices at the multitude of custom tailors. Wander through the streets and check out what's on offer shop by shop, or see it all under one roof at the recently constructed modern and extensive Market Village Shopping Mall (home of Tesco), five minutes from the town centre. Travel 10 minutes further south and visit the two newly opened floating markets located close to Banyan Golf Club with its breathtaking long-distance landscape views.

ATTRACTIONS JUST SOUTH OF HUA HIN

The coast road to the south of Hua Hin passes a range of international beach-side hotels for10 minutes before reaching Kao Takieb. This small seaside village, popular with locals and visitors alike, is well known for its attractive traditional and up-market beach-front restaurants specialising in fish and shellfish. Further south again past Khao Tau and the charming nearby Sai Noi beach you will find Sea Pine Gardens, (known locally as Suan Son). A lovely casuarina tree-lined beach with a restaurant offering local fare at unbeatable prices located in one of the many army camps (general public welcome, just say “Kin kao”-means eat rice- indicating that you wish to use the restaurant, to the soldier on the gate). Continue on to Pak Na Pran the seaport of Pranburi, lying at the northern end of another long stretch of sandy coastline, home to the top-class Evason Resort.

EXPLORING FURTHER SOUTH

The route further south by the main road, or much smaller and not always continuous coast road, provides access to many other small attractive coastal villages, settlements and resorts, the most well known of which are are to be found in and around Sam Roi Yot (means three hundred peaks). Stay overnight at Dolphin Bay and explore the many caves to be found in the typically Thai-landscaped near vertical limestone mountains of the National Park or continue on southwards to the provincial capitol of Prachuap Khirikhan. With neighbouring Au Manao, its beautiful, almost perfectly semi circular bays and very Thai town centre make for an enjoyable day's excursion.

ATTRACTIONS TO THE NORTH OF HUA HIN

Going North, the main road passes the Kings Summer Palace (Klai Klong Wan – meaning without worries) and the local airport before continuing past many small coastal villages and hotels for half an hour before reaching Cha Am. This delightful seaside resort with tree-lined beaches is very popular with locals and Thais from Bangkok, especially at weekends. Continuing further north the main road passes Kaeng Krachan National Park to the west which has its own superb 27 holegolf course. The truly international quality of the greens and fairways, especially on the newly constructed 9 hole “Mountain Course” together the local scenery provide an unforgettable golfing experience at an unbelievably low price. The Park area is vast, extending over a hundred kilometres north and south and as far west as the Burmese border. Its many lakes,valleys and mountains support a wide variety of wildlife which can be experienced at first hand on one of many treks organised by experienced local guides.

PETCHABURI AND AROUND

The provincial boundary between Prachuab Khirikhan and Phetchaburi provinces was crossed just north of Hua Hin and its capitol of the same name lies at about an hours drive on the coastal side of the main highway. Phet means diamond in Thai for which the area was once well known, but today's attractions centre round a Royal Summer retreat accessed on foot or via a mountain railway and a very large number of Buddhist Temples of all ages, shapes and sizes dotted around the town. A days excursion to Phetchaburi can be rounded off by making your way back to Hua Hin via the coast road where you can watch salt being harvested by hand from the vast areas of salt flats which dominate the landscape, stretching in some instances as far as the eye can see.

"Relaxing stay, actually very nice Villa in quite community, close to centre"

Booking was easy with Martin and Martin`s friend Tony very kindly picked us up at our hotel and guided us to the villa in a fenced community at the town border a bit towards the hills. Very well kept and quite but just a couple of minutes by car( would work with taxi/tuctuc but more comfortable with rented car) from the centre, shops, restaurants, beach. The house itself is very clean and nicely furnished in a colonial style. All works fine, air conditioning, pool, etc. only water pressure is a bit low. All very relaxing and big enough by far for 4 people even if two are wifi adicted teanagers. Tony offered support unfortunately the restaurant closed he runs with his wife. Therfore may be next time. We would love to come back again.
