Pak Nam Pran barely registers on most foreign tourists" radar, but many better-off Bangkokians have favorite beaches in this area, the nicest of which is the delightfully sophisticated Khao Kalok with its long and sandy beach and restaurants for more information take a look at Khao Kalok on the web.
From the beach Mr Moo hires Jet- skis, canoes, banana boats, ATV,s (quad bikes) motorbikes along with ATV tours of the local area, or take a ride on a elephant.
Going north towards the Evason Hotel there are many shack- like shore-front restaurants together with Mr Sings Beach Bar who always greets you with a big Thai smile. Here you can sit and enjoy an ice cold singer beer or if you prefer a cocktail drink together with a massage, manicure while looking over gulf of Thailand Check him out on the web Mr. Sings Beach Bar Thailand.
During the rainy season you're quite likely to see pink dolphins playing within sight of the shore.
In Pak Nam Pran there is a Thai market held three times a week the fruit, veg and seafood are very good along with being cheap.
South of Pak Nam Pran is dolphin bay were you can hire a local fishing boat to take you over to monkey island its about 10 minutes by boat and well worth the trip

"Villa with everything you need"
First of all the owners of the villa, Ian & Teresa was so very helpful to us and give us a lot of good info on the area (restaurants, bike rentals etc, The villa is in a small village called Baan Nong Yai with lots of local thai people who are very friendly. There is a small bar about
two hundred metres away and worth a visit. The photos of the villa do not do it justice, because it as got everything you need and more. I will be booking this villa again next year.
