Further details indoors:
Top master bedroom - this room is very large with plenty of room to include a fold-away or cot bed (provided on request) if you are travelling with small children. The bed is huge and so comfortable even if the kids crawl in at night.
2nd master room - this room is equally as large as the master but has a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the garden. You can eat breakfast listening to the birds with a view of the temple nearby.
Double room - This room adjoins to the single room with a bi-folding wooden door in one house so that you can arrange the rooms as two separate sleeping areas or one large room for 3 or more children. Outside this room is another large terrace facing the back of the house which overlooks a large swimming pool.
Single room - This adjoins to the double room as mentioned above. All bedrooms have beautiful Thai style carved wooden beds, large solid wardrobes and altar tables or cupboards. They are all fully air-conditioned and very comfortable.
* Please note that the houses may vary slightly in design and layout though they are all of exceptional quality.
All bathrooms are decorated with quality fittings. The 2 master bathrooms are huge and big enough for the whole family to shower. Towels in the bathrooms and linen in the bedrooms are of the best quality and the atmosphere of the bathrooms as with the rest of the house is stylish, comfortable and luxurious.
As most of our tenants are families with children, we have built up a very child-friendly environment to make your stay as comfortable as possible and to help you leave some of that bulky baggage at home. We have a large cot and highchair for any little ones and a fold-out bed if kids want to sleep in mum and dad's room. Additionally, we can provide a bottle sterilizer and walker. Bigger kids can find a selection of movies in the drawer under the TV cabinet. There is also a large selection of games and a small selection of books and music CDs. If you have a teenager, you may ask our Housekeeper to help you hire a small moped for use around the village, safely away from main roads. This is certainly one of the highlights of our son's holiday in Thailand. Please feel free to ask for anything that we may have forgotten, and wherever possible we will accommodate you.
Further details outdoors:
Beautiful garden and pool facilities opposite the houses provide a resort style holiday experience. Tenants can use the garden for a special party or barbecue and we can even help with outside catering.
One minute stroll from the house is Khao Takiab beach which is wonderful for swimming, playing and walking. There is horse riding, water sports and massage/manicure services available on the beach. Or if you just want to relax, you can sit at one of the beach cafes for some fresh fish or use the deckchairs provided by various cafes.
From Jan 2009 we have a super new coffee shop in the gardens which serves excellent Thai and western food at ridiculously cheap prices. You can also order transport at the coffee shop.
At one end of the beach is Monkey Mountain which you can climb to find local monkeys. At the other end is Khao Tao a lovely little fishing village. If you like walking early in the morning, going from the house to Khao Tao is wonderful as the beach is wide and expansive with little development the further you walk. You certainly cannot get this experience on Hua Hin beach which is quite narrow and tends to get very busy in the peak season.
Elephant riding and other activities such as Grand Prix racing are just a short ride away. Very close to the house you can also find quad-bike riding for those adventurous enough to ride around the dirt tracks. For golf enthusiasts, you can find a range of golf courses nearby. What better way to enjoy your golfing holiday than staying by the beach and heading to the courses when you want to play.
There are lots of things to see and do in and around Hua HIn. You can hire your own car or we can help you find a car and driver to visit the waterfalls, go to the nearby National parks or visit secluded bays and coves around the area. If you are interested in fashion then you will certainly want to visit the Factory Outlets between Bangkok and Hua Hin.
Further details
Our Thai Housekeeper lives nearby and is on hand to help with anything you need. She will take a small deposit on your arrival which will be returned the day to leave.

The Central Thailand / Bangkok / Prachuab Khiri Khan region

Hua Hin is just 200km south of Bangkok, a pleasant 3-hour drive or a 45 minute small plane journey, door-to-door is fast becoming the destination in Thailand. You can experience leafy, picturesque village streets, enchanting long stretches of beach and authentic Thai seafood restaurants overlooking views of effortless fishing boats far out to sea.
Providing a perfect holiday destination for couples and families alike, Hua Hin is only just making it into the tour operators brochure. Enjoy the luxury of unspoiled beaches where the emphasis is on peaceful relaxation.
The Hua Hin area
If you want to do more than laze away days by the beach, or if you need to entertain the kids, Hua Hin has a myriad of activities from horse riding, elephant riding, fishing, water sports, quad-bike riding, grand prix racing and more, not to mention all of the golf courses in the area.
Whether shopping at the night market or eating out in the vast array of restaurants along the seafront, you and your family will not want to leave this unique town.
There are lots of things to see and do in and around Hua Hin. You can hire your own car or we can help you find a car and driver to visit the waterfalls, go to the nearby National parks or visit secluded bays and coves around the area.
If you wish to venture further, Kaeng Krachan National Park extends along the Burmese border from Petchburi Province, north of Hua Hin. Thailand’s first marine national park, Khao Sam Roi Yot, is approximately 35 km to the south. Additionally, in Kanchanaburi province there are five more national parks, Erawan, Sai Yoke, Sri Nakarin, Khao Laem and Chalerm Rattanakosin, all of which are easily accessible.
For those fashion conscious people in your party a trip to the fashion outlets, north of Hua Hin, is a great way to stock up on designer labels at market prices.
The night market is a must with a vast array of of stalls offering anything from clothes, bags and DVD’s to the delights of traditional Thai street cuisine.
In 1926, King Rama VII built the Klai Kangon (meaning Far From Worries) Palace in the town, which is often visited by the King and his family. To this day, Hua Hin remains one of the Thai Royal Family’s favourite destinations, thereby avoiding some of the mistakes made in other developing areas of Thailand.
From its quaint railway stations, built in the 1920’s, to its 5-star luxury spa resorts and international golf courses (8 within 30 km), Hua Hin is an ideal place in which to live, holiday or invest.

Enjoyed our stay, although too many levels within the house for small children. All rooms were large and spacious. Plenty of terrace space, although the sitting area outside the front door harboured mosquitoes in one of the plants, so was not utilised as much as it should have been. I have rated this holiday as average as there was no choice for good which I would have chosen. Dha the Thai manager was very helpfull, used the services of the transfer back to Bangkok. |
Guestbook for Baan Thai Villas
"We had a fabulous time in Thailand and the villas were all we could have asked for.
Unusually for travel sites/brochures, the villa and locality looked just like the pictures you can see in the holiday rentals web site. No special angles or views - what you see is what you get and it is great!!
Other details, like local attractions, were also accurate and so the teenagers were able to swim, ride, paint ball, scooter and visit incredible beaches etc whilst the 'oldies' visited temples and shops etc.
Organising the holiday was easy. Questions were responded to quickly and the booking was done smoothly.
We got lots of help with arrival, local knowledge of shops and restaurants was shared and we had a quick tour of the villa's facilities.
My wife, not an easy lady to please, was totally delighted with the location, the rooms and the facitlites. It was clean and very well furnished. A cleaner was organised for us very inexpensively.
The teenagers liked the satellite TV but not the music [you can't please everyone Sue!!] but soon found the shops in Hua Hin and bought CDs that they liked.
Our two weeks flew by and were made even better because we met up with the owner and her family and everyone got on very well.
Lasting memories will be lounging by the lovely pool, the girls horseriding along the beach every day, extremely sore thighs from paintballing, the magnificent food and the very friendly people. [I guess the beach bar owners have missed the 'two papas' from 4 til 6 every day as the girls whizzed up and down the beach on their ponies?]
We would wholeheartedly recommend Thailand as a holiday venue. The accommodation is superb and met our needs [two adults, two teenagers, three twenty somethings] completely. Our thanks to everyone who made our holiday such a special family re-union.
We can't wait for the next time!" Madeley family: August 2008.
"We just got back from our holiday and had a fantastic time!! The house was great, the pool just ideal for the kids and the beach with all the horses a hit with all. Dha was lovely and very helpful. Please thank her again for us. Hopefully we will be able to come back. Now we'll be telling all our overseas friends to meet us there..." Feb 2008
"We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful houses. So close to so many good things, the monkeys, nice restaurants, lots of fishing boats, and excellent diversity of eateries and bars at the beach. The houses were high standard, well equipped and in excellent condition, even DVDs available for the teens and kids with us. Having the two houses right next to each other was a great advantage for our two families. Very good service from Dha who answered all of our questions and spoke english fluently. We liked being away from the hustle of Hua Hin. Quiet lazy days at the beach, yet close enough to enjoy the pleasures and diversions of the city. We were impressed by the Thai population in your area and in general. No pressure or hassles. We will definitely come to Thailand again and hopefully we can stay at your houses." March 2008
