Step out onto Seignosse Golf Course, one of Europe's top golfing destinations and admire the lake and fairway views. The beaches of Seignosse are a very short drive or walk away and are renowned for the quality of the surf and the stunning expanse of sand. Hossegor town with its market, shops and cafes is 5 minutes by car. Maison Golf is a perfect holiday setting for sun, sand, sea, golf, surf and relaxation.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region

The Landes region is renowned for its incredible beaches with some of the best surf in Europe. The beach stretches 200km to Bordeaux. Biarritz airport and the beautiful city is 35-40 minutes by car and Bayonne is 30 minutes by car.

Explore the mountains of the Pyrenees with their quaint villages and spectacular views or visit San Sebastian in Spain, just a 1-hour drive. The wine region in Bordeaux is easily accessible on the peage motorway, 11/2-2 hours away or stay closer to home and discover the Landais wines.

The gastronomy of the Landes area is also an attraction with high quality restaurants offering seafood and duck specialities.

Hossegor area

The Golf Course at Seignosse is one of the Top 20 in Europe. Play 9 or 18 holes, practice at the driving range and take advantage of the golf buggies with GPS. The course is also beautiful for walks. Hossegor town is a vibrant place for shopping, great restaurants and cafes.

There is an extensive network of bike paths along the coast for touring the area on two wheels. There is a waterpark at Seignosse Le Penon beach, which is fun for children and Hossegor lake offers safe swimming and watersports.

How to get there

Budget airlines Ryanair and Easyjet fly into Biarritz airport from various airports in the UK including Stansted, Bristol and Gatwick. Biarritz is a 35-40 minute drive on the motorway and car hire is available with all the major car companies.

Bordeaux airport is 90 minutes north and is serviced by bmibaby as well as Air France. Bilbao airport is 3 hours away.

Ferries come into northern France and the drive to Hossegor is around 8 hours, or into Santander, around 4 hours away. The toll roads are great and easy to drive on as they are quiet.

Car hire is recommended for making the most of the area.
