About the home

Maison Baradet is a typical Landaise style house that is situated within walking distance of the village. Quiet and peaceful yet only 15 minutes from Europes most famous surfing beaches and golf courses. There are many walking and cycling routes accessible from the house. Local markets, supermarkets and excellent restaurants are all within easy access.

The house is spacious, child friendly and comfortably furnished. The garden is designed to accommodate sun and shade and has 3 areas to eat 'al fresco' a BBQ is provided. The pool is fenced and alarmed and there is a play area for children.

Ground Floor
There is a large open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with french doors overlooking the pool and front gardens. Another lounge provides views over the pool and side garden. The two double bedrooms (one en suite) both have views to the front garden. There is a bathroom with overhead shower, basin and bidet. Separate toilet.

Upstairs
The front bedroom has pine clad sloping ceilings with french doors leading to a small balcony with views to the Pyrenees, the other bedroom has views over the pool and open fields. Shower room and toilet.

Conditions

TERMS: Rates are per week and based on 8 people staying. Bookings are usually from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am. A deposit of 25% is payable within 3 days of booking to confirm and the balance eight weeks before arrival. Refundable breakages deposit of £300 is required, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). Prices can be agreed for long weekends and out of peak season (Oct-Apr)
CANCELLATION: In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to re-let, but if this is not possible the management reserves the right to retain the deposit and to recover the balance due. Insurance cover can be obtained for any loss of this sort. If the accommodation reserved is suddenly not available due to storm, fire or other unforeseen circumstances, the owner cannot accept liability or responsibility but the deposit and any other rental money already paid will be refunded.
LONG WEEKENDS AND MID-WEEK BREAKS: These can be arranged out of season. Please contact us for more details.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR: Maison Baradet is a wonderful place to spend the holiday season. Length of stay, arrival and departure can be flexible. Please contact us for more details.
CLEANING: You are responsible for keeping and leaving the property in clean and tidy condition. It is expected the house is left as good as found. Cleaning can be arranged at an additional charge of 100 Euros. Please inform us upon booking.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region

The Cote d'Argent has the longest stretch of coastline in Europe. It is home to some of the worlds most famous surf beaches and golf courses. During the summer months you can experience the festivals that are held in many of the villages and towns the most famous being the Bayonne and Dax festivals.

It is home to Western Europe's largest forest and has many freshwater lakes where you can enjoy nature and tranquility. The forests provide a haven for walking and cycling.

There is a variety of activities to offer such as surfing, golfing, cycling, sailing, skiing, hiking, bird watching, horse riding, walking and of course relaxing in the thermal spas.

The mountains of the Pyrenees are worth a visit - here you can go white water rafting or maybe see some of the exotic wildlife such as brown bears and vultures. During the winter months you can ski in some of the most beautiful unspoiled scenery at a fraction of the cost of the Alps and without the crowds.

The cuisine in this region is superb and there are numerous restaurants to tantalise your taste buds.

The Hossegor / Saubrigues area

The area offers everything for adults and children.

Golf courses, surfing beaches, ski areas, cycling, walking, bird watching, fishing, spas, and shopping are all within easy access of the house.

Activities such as karting, quad biking, paintballing, adventure trails, horseriding, boat hire, jet skiing, kayaking and sailing are all within a short drive of the house.

Eating out - there are many restaurants within the area. There is a local restaurant within walking distance and some of the regions finest restaurants such as Auberge D'Ugne and Le Hittau are a short drive away.

The hustle and bustle of Capbreton and Hossegor is a 15 minutes drive - here you will find a variety of shops bars and restaurants. Just outside Hossegor you can find factory outlets that sell clothing mainly surf wear at reduced cost.

Masion Baradet is situated in the small village of Saubrigues, Landes, South West France. It is 40 minutes from Spain and the Pyrenees - 20 minutes north of Biarritz and 15 minutes from Hossegor.

“Ideal Family Holiday Villa” Had a wonderful relaxing 2 weeks holiday. The house has everything you would want , including play areas for the kids, table Tennis and especially the pool which they were hardly ever out of . Surrounding area is lovely with many places of interest within easy reach all topped off by Lyn and Steves hospitality. Looking forward to returning this year .
