Swan Cottage is available year round, with short breaks offered between September and June.
It is privately owned, and we can therefore usually accommodate unusual changeover days and durations.
During July and August, 7 night durations, starting Saturdays, are available.
We enjoy high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat bookings, and our visitors benefit from a very good standard of comfort, a well equipped kitchen and private courtyard garden.
We accept up to two well behaved pets at a small additional cost.
Unlike many Horning rental properties, we are not located directly on the river (but across the road from the river and village green), and are therefore safe for young children and pets.
A travel cot and high chair are available at a small extra charge.

The East Anglia region
Parts of this region of England are characterised by the flatness of the land, partly consisting of fenland and reclaimed marshland, though much of Suffolk and Norfolk is gently undulating.
The East Anglian cities are Norwich, Peterborough, Ely and Cambridge. Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and Huntingdon are major towns.
Although water plays a significant role in the fenland and broadland landscapes, the area is among the driest in the United Kingdom. Maximum temperature ranges from 5–10 °C (41–50 °F) in the winter to 20–25 °C (68–77 °F) in the summer, although temperatures have been known to reach 35 °C (95 °F) in recent years. Sunshine totals tend to be higher towards the coastal areas.
Major rivers include Suffolk's Stour, running through country beloved of the painter John Constable, and the Nene. The River Cam is a tributary of the Great Ouse and gives its name to Cambridge. The Orwell and its source the Gipping together find the sea at Ipswich. The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads form a network of waterways between Norwich and the coast and are popular for recreational boating.
Agriculture has always been important in this fertile region. The landscape of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk has been heavily influenced by Dutch technology, from the use of red clay roof tiles to the draining of The Fens.
The importance of agriculture and farming can be seen in the fantastic local produce (meats, vegetables etc). Farmer's markets are always worth a visit, and many restaurants specialise in delicious locally produced food.
Horning is a picturesque waterside broadland village and if you only visit one Broadland village, then Horning has to be that one. The village lines the northern bank of the River Bure, stretching for about a mile. There are waterside pubs, shops, restaurants, tea-rooms, boat trips and other attractions to enjoy. Horning Ferry is on the outskirts of the village, about a mile along Lower Street. It is well worth a walk on a fine day and there is a marina, leisure club and the Ferry Inn.
Horning is approximately 3 miles from Wroxham, 'The Capital of The Broads', with its many shops and attractions.
Nearby are the Broads of Wroxham, Ranworth, with its wildlife centre, and Salhouse, and the ruins of St Benet's Abbey founded in the 9th Century.

Fishing, boat hire and boat trips are all locally available.
Slightly further afield is the fantastic city of Norwich, a wonderful place to sightsee, shop, eat or enjoy the arts. Norwich is only 11 miles from Wroxham and is most easily reached via the excellent Park and Ride service from Sprowston.
There are numerous beaches accessible on the Norfolk coast, the best known of which is Great Yarmouth, only 16 miles away. Great Yarmouth boasts 15 miles of sandy beach, a pleasure beach, plus many shops and seaside attractions.
