Eagle Cottage. A wheelchair friendly Cottage with ramps and extra wide doors throughout the ground floor for the disabled. The house is very spacious with ample room for wheel chairs to manoeuvre throughout.The accommodation comprises entrance hall, cloakroom with toilet, ground floor bathroom (suitable for toilet lateral transfer for wheelchair users).The large ground floor bedroom has two 5' beds as singles. Upstairs a double & a single bedroom with a large Balcony , with a table and easy garden furniture to enjoy a drink or meal overlooking the River. A new updated kitchen fitted for 2014.
A separate annex building within the confines of the property, has two en-suite bedrooms. Room 1 has a king-size bed with bath/toilet. Room 2 has two single beds with floor level shower and adapted hand rails for the toilet. Both rooms have there own TV's. Due to non availability of the annex from Nov to Easter, please contact us on accessibility during this period.
This individual riverside property on the banks of the river Bure at Horning Ferry, has magnificent panoramic views of the river and wildlife activity.It has main river frontage and is surrounded by water on three sides. Ideally located near to the Helska leisure Centre with swimming pool (100 meters) and Fish & Chip shop, and Ferry Inn Pub (150 meters).
A 5 seater Diesel Day Boat is included in the hire (fuel to pay), available Easter to November. Ideal for fishing expeditions or shopping trips to nearby Wroxham.You do not have to be disabled to enjoy this Cottage. It is open to all.
The lawned area is superb for fishing and watching the world go by on Boats. Fishing is permitted June 16th to March 14th. Licence required. See photo gallery for variety of fish caught at this location.

The East Anglia region
Horning village is situated between the city of Norwich and the Norfolk Coast. With three pubs, excellent restaurants, fantastic dellicatessen, various small shops including a Butcher, newsagents and general store. The nearest supermarket ( ROYS) can be found 3 miles away in Wroxham/Hoveton. In addition there is a small leisure club with indoor heated swimming pool and spa, a poolside cafe located opposite the cottage.
The Norfolk Broads are England's largest stretch of wetlands, and are a unique combination of broads or shallow lakes, rivers and dykes which can be found in the area bounded by Norwich, Stalham, Lowestoft and Beccles. Famous for the magnificent boating they afford, with over 125 miles of navigable waterways they also play host to a wide variety of plants, animals, insects and birds. North Norfolk & Horning has one of the dryest areas in the UK, due to its easterly position, & during hot weather receives a cooling breeze from the coast for added comfort.

Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail A half mile walk through a 'tropical swamp', so keep to the path!
Salhouse Broad: a member of the National parks family. Cockshoot Broad Near Woodbastwick, a walk takes you through to the clear water broad as it was 100 years ago.
