About the home

This modern house is spacious and well equipped with most of the sleeping accommodation on the ground floor and a light and roomy open plan lounge/diner and kitchen upstairs.

The lounge opens onto a large balcony, just perfect for sitting back and watching the river. If the weather is less kind, simply retreat behind the two large patio doors and admire the view from the comfort of the lounge or dining table! The balcony gets the sun in the afternoon and evening whilst the lawned garden to the rear provides a sheltered sun trap in the mornings.

The East Anglia / Norfolk region

Horning is just 10 miles away from the City of Norwich with its historic Castle, Cathedral and Market, 2 miles from Wroxham and within a few minutes drive of the other northern broads villages of Potter Heigham, Coltishall, Stalham and Sutton. Great Yarmouth with sandy beaches, slot machines, the Pleasure Beach and lots more is only 15 miles away and Lowestoft, Cromer and the North Norfolk Coast or the quieter beaches of Sea Palling and Winterton are all options for a day at the seaside.

There are plenty of cycling and walking trails for the more energetic and there are three day boat hire centres within easy walk of the house for those wishing to explore the Rivers Bure and Ant and nearby broads.

The Horning area

Horning itself offers river boat trips, restaurants, pubs and tearooms, a delicatessen, post office, gift shops, butchers shop, Chinese takeaway and newsagent/general store to name but a few.

There is a small heated, indoor, swimming pool and cafe within a few yards and Bewilderwood the treehouse adventure park is just outside the village. The village green is a lovely spot to sit with an ice cream and watch the boats go by and the 3 pubs all have riverside gardens in which to relax and have a drink and a meal.
