"70th birthday celebration"

Outstanding, ideal location for a family/large group getaway in luxurious surroundings. All and more than you could wish for. Nothing gets in the way, no problem too great. Catering by Skendleby Catering first class and again nothing too much trouble to ensure your stay is one to remember. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again at Skendleby Hall.

"A stunning house with lots to do"

Skendleby hall is a beautiful building set in a stunning part of the country. The house is huge and there's no end of entertainment inside. The owners are very friendly and live moments away, meaning they are at hand should you need them. There's WIFI, a stereo in the kitchen and a decent sound system in the drawing room. Also there's a huge projector screen to watch movies on rainy days, which is a treat. The sauna and steam room is a real highlight. However, it is chemically treated each night so an evening in the hot tub is sadly out of bounds. I'm sure if you ask nicely though, the owners would make arrangements.

Thank you for your lovely review of the Hall. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.

"What more could you want??"

The Hall was booked as a surprise for a group of friends over a long weekend, it was simply fantastic. Everyone was amazed by it all and thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, especially the kids. It was one of the best weekends away that we have shared, which will never be forgotten. It will be very hard to beat??

"Sixtieth Birthday"

What a fabulous place. Took the whole of the family to celebrate my wife's sixtieth. Graet big house that is full of character and classic furniture but strangely enough you don't worry about the kids who thought it was brilliant for " Hide and Seek". Had a meal cooked in by their resident caterer which was excellent. Just a short hop to the coast Not the cheapest but go on spoil yourself. a memory to be cherished

Thank you for the great review - much appreciated. Ruth

"Perfect weekend break for 18 of us"

Our highlights were: the splendid drawing room - ideal for relaxing with the newspapers and for pre dinner drinks, the music room, plenty of activities to keep our 10-17 year olds amused, well-equipped and much-used kitchen, full size billiard table.

"An amazing house for a large group vacation."

25 of us spent a fantastic long weekend for our annual family get-together ( this was our second visit to Skendleby Hall ). On arrival the house, grounds and setting are most impressive. We received a very warm welcome and made to feel immediately at home. Inside, the house is enormous, the rooms are very well furnished, extremely comfortable and fantastically equipped. We made full use of the kitchen facilities and had a great time all sitting down together for long dinners. Around the house, the full size snooker room, grand piano, games rooms ( table tennis, table football etc) were all used to the full and outside much fun was had playing crocquet and cricket on the lawns. The setting is delightful, looking out over the rolling countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, but sadly the weather this year intervened in our plans to make full use of the barbeque facilities. Over the years we have stayed in a number of large houses for family get togethers, but Skendleby is right up there at the top of my list for its quality, comfort and facilities.
