"Totally relaxing and reviving"
Luggs Barn is an amazing holiday retreat. We were a party of 9, including 4 young children and a toddler, and everything we could have needed was there for us on arrival, including a delicious home b… More
Thankyou so much for reviewing Luggs Barn Elizabeth and Emma - it was a pleasure to meet you all! We're glad you had a good time and hope it won't be long until we can welcome you all again.
A visitor earlier this year loved the piano too - so much so that she bought it! - but Bill is happy to put another of his restored pianos in the Barn for future guests should anyone miss it. Sadly a visit from the fox has put paid to our poultry keeping for now, but the bats and other wildlife continue to delight us all; badger watching in the woods is a regular treat at dusk. The balcony is still a favourite spot to enjoy a glass of wine and admire the views - how lovely that you were able to enjoy the sunrise during your stay.
Ted and Monty, and our girls, are always pleased to see returning friends, as are we! If you come back, let me know your favourite cake and I'll make sure one is waiting for you! Kind regards, Sarah

"Fabulous relaxing break away in Devon"
We loved Luggs Barn and the location. Sarah and Bill, the owners, were very helpful both before and during our stay. We were planning a birthday celebration at the barn and they advised us on caterers and a pianist for the evening's celebrations! They even provided a piano for us and were generally very accommodating. We had a mixed group of family the first few days, followed by friends for the last weekend. Everyone loved it and it was particularly lovely when the sun came out and we sat in the gorgeous south facing garden with amazing views until the sun set! The party in the evening felt like a wedding reception, the venue was truly stunning and everyone dressed up - the wonderful pianist Ed Jacobs made it a night to remember! A truly relaxing break. We really did not want to come home!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review Gary! It was lovely to meet you and Sandra and we're so pleased your big celebration went well. It was wonderful listening to the piano and seeing you all in the garden in black tie! Very memorable occasion for us as well! Thankyou again for your business and hopefully it won't be too long before we can welcome you back again.
Kind regards, Sarah

"Just so wonderful..."
We stayed at Luggs Barn with my family for Easter, in total there were 7 of us.
It is a beautiful converted barn, very well decorated and thought out.
We had more than enough room for all of us.
The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and there were plenty of showers and bathrooms.
The living room (upstairs so you could see the beautiful views) was large but cosy. There was a wood burner which kept the room nice and warm.
The kitchen/dining room was also a good size and well equipped with cooking utensils. We very much enjoyed cooking our Easter Sunday roast there (with meat from the farmer next door Kittow Cattle).
There are a lot of things to do in the local area - we went for plenty of rambles, to a local market and drove to the coast as we love Beer and Branscombe.
Lovely and friendly owners, and we hope to stay there again soon!
Thankyou so much Nikki, we're glad you all enjoyed your stay and very much appreciate you taking the time to review Luggs Barn. Thankyou too for recommending us to friends. We hope to welcome you all again soon!

Thankyou very much Tamara, we're glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Your feedback is very useful - we'll certainly consider another fridge if we have large groups in future, and will have the wood burner flue swept - it's never smoked before so thankyou for bringing it to our attention. The wifi is unfortunately very slow but having investigated, we're told that we're getting the best speed we can for this location.
Thanks again for your lovely comments in the visitors book and for taking the time to review Luggs Barn. We would be delighted to welcome you all back any time. Best regards, Sarah
