Franklyns Farm occupies an enviable setting near the tiny hamlet of Beacon, which is set in the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Looking across a beautiful patchwork of farmland and hills, Franklyns Farm offers the 'country idyll' for either full time living or for those wishing to spend holidays and weekends in beautiful countryside. The property is set amidst endless footpaths and bridleways which are accessed from the drive gates and close by are areas of common land at Hartridge and Dumpon Hill, a local landmark and Iron Age hill fort owned by the National Trust. The small village of Luppitt is close by with its parish church and small village inn, whilst Honiton, well known for its lace making, pottery and antiques, is approximately four miles away and has a main line station with trains to London, Waterloo and a range of good shopping and sports facilities. Taunton is also within easy reach with its larger shopping centre, many good schools and is the home of the Somerset County Cricket Ground. Exeter to the west also boasts an excellent shopping centre. The coasts at Sidmouth and Branscombe are all within a short drive, as is Lyme Regis, found along the Jurassic Coast, and for the keen golfer there are many courses throughout the area.

A striking decked terrace with access from the master living area provides wonderful al fresco dining breathtaking views of the valley below.
One Pond and one small lake with decked walkways add to the charm of the property. Care needs to be taken with young children as these areas are not fenced off.
Whilst cats are welcome, dogs would need to be kept outside as the oak floors may not be suitable for large dog guests.
Horses may occasionally be kept in either the top or bottom fields by request. Several excellent bridleways adjoin the property or can be found within easy hacking distance.
The West Country region
The World Heritage Coastline, colloquailly known as the JURASSIC COAST at Lyme Bay is approximately 12 miles to the South. Also near are the beautiful walks and beaches of Lyme Bay with the worlds longest village of Branscombe.
The property has a commanding view of the adjacent Iron Age Fort of Dumpdon Hill to the West.
The property is surrounded by its own 11.5 acres of mainly pasture in which are two ponds and is a haven for flora and fauna.
The A30 passes through Honiton providing fast and easy access to Exeter and joins the A303 at Ilminster to London. The M5 motorway can be joined at Taunton (J27), Cullompton (J28) or Wellington (J26). Exeter is within easy reach with regular flights to the continent and the USA and for those wishing to travel to the continent by sea, there are ferry ports at Plymouth, Weymouth and Southampton.
He small hamlet of Beacon lies near the tiny village of Luppitt with its ancient Parish church, small Public House and Village Hall. Honiton about 4 miles distant, has a main line rail link to London.
