About the home

Situated on the 1st floor of a completely renovated XIXth century building (the staircase has 16 steps ) , the modern and refined decoration of this aparment with some antics and paintings from local painters will make you feel at home.
it includes an entrance, a separate fully fitted kitchen, a spacious dining-room/living room, two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate wc.
eight double glazing windows make it very bright and welcoming.
The street, rue des Capucins, is very quiet because there are no restaurants or tourist shops, though you are situated in the heart of the city.
It will take you less than 2mn to walk to the "Vieux Bassin" (old port), or restaurants and art galleries all around. Also for visiting museums or taking a boat for a promenade in the Seine estuary.

Normandy combines a long and varied coastline with a charming countryside with so many beautiful farms and manors, bustling market towns and the historic cities of Caen and Bayeux and Rouen.
Pays d'Auge area is the place to discover famous pastoral land products such as fine cheese, cider and of course Calvados apple brandy.
Deauville and Trouville will offer you beautiful sandy beaches.
Further along the coast, you'll visit the D Day landing beaches and war museums.
The beautiful countryside offers you a lot of nice walks.
If you cross the beautiful "Pont de Normandie" Etretat is not far with its beautiful cliffs and its golf course overlooking the sea.

Honfleur is one of the most charming old fishing port in France, with a prestigious past . Its particular light inspired fascinated impressionist painters and artists in general. It is beloved as well by French tourists as tourists from all over the world.

Discover the medieval quarter through picturesque old cobbled streets lined with half-timbered houses without missing the marvellous St Catherine Church (15th century) at 50m from your apt.

You will also find several museums to visit in town .

Honfleur is not just a stage set, it is a living town determined to keep its soul,

Fishing boats in activity pratice inshore fishing and fishes and shrimps are sold on landing specially on saturday morning while a bustling traditional market takes place around St Catherine quarter.

Drive : Honfleur is 15mn drive from Le Havre Ferry Service (Porthsmouth) and 1 hour drive from Ouistreham Ferry Service.
2 hour and 15mn drive from Calais by highway (Eurotunnel Shuttle Folkston-CalaisService is 30mn). This is the most convenient way to drive from London to Honfleur.
Plane : Paris is the most convenient option even if there are local airports nearby (Deauville-St Gatien ; Caen ; Le Havre). Honfleur is 2 hour drive from Paris.
Train : Paris St Lazare to Trouville-Deauville 2 hours and more or less 45£ for a return ticket).

“Beyond Expectation.” The Apartment is wonderful. Spacious,comfortable,quiet,central and clean. The owner was friendly and helpful. Honfleur is stunning.A photographer or artists paradise.The light is magical. The Medieval cobblestoned layout of the old port town is beautiful. “Beautiful apartment, helpful host” This is a beautiful apartment owned by Anne-Sophie who had been extremely helpful to answer all our enquiries before we came and set up the apartment so nicely that we really did not want to leave. Three days was too short for Normandy and we can easily spend a week in this area. Honfleur itself is a lovely little town with a great atmosphere, full of galleries and antique shops. We rented a car from Paris and it's a easy two-hour drive to Honfleur. The apartment has two very nice rooms, great for our family with two teenagers. The kitchen is well-equipped, although I would hope that the washing machine has come with a dryer. How showers are always available. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area.

“THE BEST HOLIDAY WE HAVE EVER HAD, It was HEAVEN, in Honfleur !!” This beautiful apartment is elegant, beautifully fitted out and QUIET !!! It is also within a TWO MINUTE WALK of the Vieux Bassin (the old Harbour)... and only 30 SECONDS from the Square and St. Catherine's church... the bells of which, chime softly and beautifully, within hearing distance. ENCHANTING !! we were enchanted by the whole of Honfleur and our stay was all too short. With our base of operations so central to the heart of the town, it was easy to reach any part of Honfleur, WITHOUT A CAR ! We did HAVE a car, but it was not essential. For the most part, it stayed parked in the free parking lot !! Shanks Mare did the trick for almost ALL our sightseeing. I simply CANNOT OVERSTATE how marvellous the entire holiday was, and the lovely apartment at No. 2, Rue des Capucins, made it HEAVEN INDEED !! The owners, Anne-Sophie and Patrick Denis, were helpful, friendly and ready to aid us in any way they could. IN SHORT, this was a DREAM HOLIDAY ... Honfleur and No. 2, Rue, des Capucins has OUR HIGHEST PRAISE !! Submitted with the greatest pleasure By, Michelle and Jeff Williams

- 30 april 2011 : We found your wonderful apartment to be perfect in every way. It was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable with crisp linen on them. It was so perfectly placed being so close to St Catherine's church and the Vieux Bassin our favourite areas. We hope to visit Honfleur again and that your apt might be available.
