Kliklou is reached along a private 300metre track surrounded by apple and pear orchards,on a hillside overlooking the sea. On entering by the front door there is a hall with a downstairs loo and hand basin,a pantry with washing machine and sink ,a door leading into the delightful kitchen which used to be where butter and cheese were made. The sitting room and dining room are L shaped with a fireplace for log fires and windows on all sides looking out to sea. Double doors open out onto a secluded terrace with barbecue from the dining room. On the first floor are the main double bedroom with a large double bed and en suite bathroom,and a second double room with en suite shower. There is also a separate loo and basin on this floor. Behind the bedrooms looking out onto the hillside and Bois du Breuil is a large Games Room with table tennis. On the second floor are three bedrooms : one with double bed, one with twin beds and a single bedroom. There is also another bathroom.

The Normandy / Calvados region
Normandy is of course famous for its sights of historical interest, such as the D day landing Beaches ,the Bayeux Tapestry, and the magnificent Mont St. Michel. However a great mix of lush countryside and miles of unspoilt coastline are waiting to be discovered. The Pays d'Auge offers fantastic local produce, including cider, Calvados,apple juice and of course it's famous cheeses, such as Pont l'Eveque, Camembert and Livarot. Among the many day excursions possible are: Monet's Garden at Giverny,the beautiful towns of Rouen and Caen as well as Paris( only 2hours drive),the National Stud, Le Haras du Pin,the famous cliffs at Etretat and the enchanting Pays d'Auge with its apple trees, meandering valleys which may be discovered on foot, by bicycle or by car. The Normandy Invasion Beaches are a tear jerking , most memorable visit, including the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches,and its interesting museum including a 360° cinema showing an impressive film.
Honfleur / Pennedepie area
On leaving Kliklou you may wander down the track to cross the coastal road,where a footpath takes you down to a deserted sandy beach suitable for kiteflying, cricket,football ( about a 10minute walk) Behind Kliklou is the beautiful Bois du Breuil with its magnificent rhodedendrons and pine trees. A little path from the end of the track winds up onto the wooded plateau from where once more the views are astonishing. The delightful town of Honfleur, with its picturesque port ,stunning architecture and long history lies 7 minutes to the east, here you will find bustling restaurants,art galleries, churches,and museums.It is particularly famous for its part in the history of the Impressionist movement, when artists at the end of the 19th century were so attracted by the extraordinary light which exists in the Seine Estuary. Deauville and Trouville with their renowned sandy beaches, boardwalks,casinos and luxury shops are 15 mins to the west., Delightful local markets may be found on a Sunday and Wednesday morning in Trouville, a Tuesday and Friday morning in Deauville ( every morning during July and August) and on a Saturday morning In Honfleur. Pennedepie is surrounded by world renowned Golf Courses: Golf de St. Gatien is 10mins away Golf de Deauville 20mins Golf de St Julien Pont l'Eveque 20mins Golf d'Etretat 50mins The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away in Equemauville and the nearest banks in Honfleur. A tree climbing adventure park is 15 minutes away in St. Gatien des Bois

Further details indoors: Our aim is that you may begin to relax as soon as you arrive and have unpacked. All household necessities are provided and so apart from your toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as beach towels, Kliklou will be waiting fully equipped to welcome you!
Further details outdoors: A secluded terrace lies on the west side of the house with uninterrupted views out to sea. Here you may relax in complete privacy . Due to the isolation of Kliklou it is not uncommon to observe all kinds of wildlife on your doorstep.

Please note that for 2 week, 3 week and 4 week stays the price is considerably reduced from the weekly rate.
Conditions
A 500EURO Bank transfer will be necessary on booking with the remaining amount to be paid one month before arrival. Please note that a cheque for £350 or 525EURO will be necessary on arrival and this will be returned following your departure as long as Kliklou is left as it was found.
