"Cartref" is located on the Rue de L'Homme de Bois close to the museum of Eugene Boudin, the famous impressionist artist who was born in Honfleur. A two minute walk will take you past chic boutiques and shops to the restaurants and bars surrounding the marina. The X1X century apartment has exposed beams with a half timbered exterior. The apartment is offered on a Saturday change-over although split weeks, when available, can be provided.

The Normandy / Calvados region
Normandy is the gastronomic area of France. The beautiful historic Norman towns of Rouen and Caen are easily accesible, as is Bayeux with its famous tapestry. Close too are the Normany beaches; the cliffs at famous Etretat with its golf course overlooking the sea; Deauville, with its close neighbour Trouville, famous for the casino and film festival and long sandy beach and promenade. The Seine flows through Honfleur and pleasure boats and cruisers take holiday makers on day trips. If all this seems too much for a leisurely holiday, then just sit and people watch whilst enjoying a drink or look at the artists busy at work, until it's time to choose your restaurant for the evening!
Honfleur / St Catherine's Quarter area
Honfleur, with its magnificent XVth century wooden church "Eglise de Sainte Catherine" , Saturday market, bars and restaurants, swimming pool, tennis courts, park, lake and beach has something for everyone.
How to get there
From April or May 2008 Ryanair will be flying into Deauville St Gatien, 15 minutes from Honfleur, from Stanstead. LD Lines ferry sail from Portsmouth to Le Havre - 11 km from Honfleur. Brittany Ferries sail from Portsmouth to Caen - 45 minutes from Honfleur via A13. There is a Brittany Ferries fast-cat sailing from both Portsmouth and Poole. Various other ferries sail from ports in the UK to France - e.g. Newhaven to Dieppe & Le Havre being 1hour 20 mins from Honfleur.

Further details indoors: The apartment comprises of 1st and 2nd floor living. The Ist floor has a bright airy sitting /dining room, fully equipped kitchen and a tiled bathroom with shower over. the 2nd floor has a large open landing leading to 2 beamed double bedrooms - one kingsize at the front and a 4'6" double at the rear with views towards the Pont de Normandie. The apartment is newly renovated and sympathetically furnished to allow for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The stairs are quite steep and not suitable for the elderly or infirm. Adults only. No pets.
Further details outdoors: There is very limited private parking in Honfleur, but several large car parks close by. Although these car parks are PAYANT, for the benefit of our guests we provide a free parking permit for use during your stay. This permit MUST be left in the apartment upon departure.

There is an instruction leaflet at the apartment along with tourist brochures. Electricity is very expensive in France and we would encourage all guests to turn heaters down while they are away from the apartment and to be "Environmentlly friendly". Please leave the heaters on HG at the end of your holiday.
Conditions
A £50.00 deposit is required immediately with full balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
We understand that accidents can happen but please replace any breakages like for like .
We are flexible on change-over days, but would prefer it not to be a Saturday if at all avoidable. The ferries to France are more economical when booked mid-week.
