Established in 1993, the Honnehokke has been pointed out by various magazines as the most friendly holiday establishment on the Namaqualand, West Coast:

It is a tranquil oasis for those tired of the huzz and buzz of city life.

Our chalets are homely, comfortable, clean, and fully-equipped. We can accommodate one to six guests at affordable prices. Each chalet has a private braai area. All our chalets have en-suite bathrooms in the main bedrooms.

We welcome your socialized pets, as we know you love yours as much as we love ours.

We pride ourselves with the fact that we have the only swimming pool in town where our guests (those not brave enough to face the cold waters of the ocean) can cool down.

Meals for groups of six or more are catered for, but booking prior to arrival essential. All our meals are made with loving care.

Attie will show you the best fishing spots, crayfish diving holes and how to harvest your own seafood from the rocks. Should you need help in preparing them, we're there to help?.

Northern Cape region

Hondeklipbaai is a small town where fishing is the main activity.

One of the major attractions is the beautiful flowers in springtime, when the normally semi-desert vegetation changes into an unbelievable kaleidoscope of colors. All kinds of flowers cover the fields.

Diamond mining used to be done here and in the surrounding area, but currently the mines are not active. Diamond boats are still seen.

Wales visit the coast frequently and can be spotted from the beach.

If you are looking for a place to find a private spot on the beach, this is the place to be.

Hondeklip Bay

A place for rest and relaxation. If you're looking to get away and recharge your batteries, this is the place to be!

"A gem on the harsh west coast diamond fields"

Die Honnehokke is a surprisingly "glam" resort in Hondeklip Bay, a rather rough and ready fishing village on the West Coast next to the Diamond Coast. Owned & run by Attie & Esme Hough, (and… More
