The North Wales region
Anglesey is surrounded by 125 miles of rugged coast and beautiful sandy beaches.
The port of Holyhead is about12 miles away and has daily sailings to Ireland. The Holyhead Train station allows access to further attractions.
Llanfaethlu is the closest village, 1.5 miles away, with a small shop and a pub named the Black Lion, which serves lovely locally sourced food and allows small dogs.
Just beyond the Black Lion pub is Llynnon Mill, the only working mill in North Wales in nearby Llandeusant,
The Anglesey coastal path also runs along the coast by the barns with great walks. Just along on route is Church Bay, a blue flag beach and is about 2 miles away with its award winning Seafood Restaurant, The Lobster Pot. There is also the Wavecrest cafe there which is open most of the year and worth a coastal path walk for the cream scones! The little welsh heritage cottage called Swtan is also on the headland there with a museum preserving history and culture.
