About the home

Bwthyn Derwen offers the tranquility of the countryside and the sound of the sea all from your own patio area. As evening draws in, marvel at the wealth of stars in a crystal clear sky. This exclusive barn conversion is on the north west coast of Anglesey set within an area of outstanding natural beauty & is less than a 2 minute walk from the secluded blue-flag sandy Borthwen Beach and coastal walks. The rugged stone exterior provides little indication of the high specification interior hidden within.

The barn has a large living-dining area, wide screen tv and dvd, freesat, X-box and Wi-Fi. Under floor heating and a wood burning stove make it cosy and there are two bedrooms with crsip white Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels, and robes, both with luxurious bathrooms. The barn can cater for up to 7 guests (there is a quality double sofa bed and single pullout bed in living area)

The North Wales / Anglesey region

The Holyhead / Llanfaethlu area

Bwthyn Derwen is a two minute walk from a blue flag Port Trwyn (known locally as Borthwen Beach) in an area designated Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is on the Coastal footpath and the clean, quiet sandy is great for children and excellent for rock pooling. In the next cove along the Coastal footpath is Church Bay which has the Wavecrest cafe with excellent homemade food to eat in of to take to the beach and the Lobster Pot restaurant. The Church Bay Inn is a short walk away.

“Fabulous cottage, location and facilities” Booked to stay at Bwthyn Derwen last minute. We were looking for somewhere quiet but with outside space and beaches to visit as we were travelling with an active 5 year old! The pictures on the... more

“This property is wonderful” The whole complex of barns are lovely. I should imagine if they are all to the standard of the one we stayed in they will be perfect. These would be a good base for a group of families who wanted to get togehter but also wanted their own space. The nearby beach is great, and has the advantage of being dog friendly all year.
