Renovated in 2009 and available as a holiday let from January 2011, Llynon Lodge was occupied permanently from October to February 2012. Tried and tested as offering outstanding holiday accommodation, the requirement of staying in somewhere more luxurious than your own home is met here. Although the property is best suited to 4 guests, it is possible to sleep a further 2 people on a sofa bed in the sitting room.

Further details outdoors

The space and the privacy at Llynon Lodge are superb. The setting of the Lodge is truly glorious and although a car is required, accessing footpaths and cycle routes from the front door or for the truly hardy, swimming or fishing in the stream offers a unique rurual retreat. Garden furniture is also provided.

The North Wales region

North Wales is an extremely popular holiday destination, with its varied but unquestionably stunning scenery; ranging from the dramatic Snowdonia mountain peaks to the rugged beauty of Anglesey's coastal paths and beaches. Increasingly accessible by road, rail from mainland Wales and England and ferry from Ireland, there is a wealth of things to see and do. Whatever type of holiday you are searching for: whether with family, a romantic break, indulging in your favourite sport, sampling locally produced food and wine or exploring this ancient land's rich cultural history or even all of the above, Anglesey has it all and more!

Llynon Lodge is a short drive from a number of lovely beaches including those at Sandy beach and Church Bay. For dining out the famous Lobster Pot restaurant in Church Bay is definitely worth a visit or The White Eagle pub in Rhoscolyn or The Seacroft pub in Trearddur Bay.

Llynon windmill (the only working windmill in Wales) is a 5 minute walk along the lane and has a tearoom offering lunch and afternoon tea.

"Just the right mix of luxury and homeliness"

After spending a weekend away in Llynnon Lodge, I have to say this is one of the most beautiful properties I've had the good fortune to stay in. Just the right mix of luxury and homeliness, excep… More

"Fabulous place to get away and relax"

This was our second stay at the lodge and it has been as enjoyful as the first time. The lodge is comfortable and traditional but with a modern touch. The log fire is perfect and we spent most of our time just sitting infront of it. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom looks lovely. The garden is just simply awesome with the lovely stream and woods. Phone signals are usually good but mobile internet does not work inside the lodge. The lodge does usually have a wifi hub, but they were awaiting arrival of a new hub during our stay which was slightly inconvenient. The close by Lligwy beach is very nice for walking, even on chilly spring evenings. The lodge is well secluded but close enough to local amenities (15 minute drive to a Tesco extra).

Will definetly be looking to return to the lodge in the near future.

"Absolutely beautiful retreat both inside and out!"

I always spend days online researching any cottage, guest house or hotel before considering booking which frustrates my partner....until we arrive at our destination.
The same can be said of Llynon Lodge as, upon arrival, our jaws were firmly bolted to the floor.
A beautifully stylish, modern home from home with more comforts than you could wish for. Fabulously renovated/rebuilt to a high standard, from the toasty woodburner to the contemporary square bath, a real luxury!
The kitchen is compact, fuctional and well finished with views from two sides.
Dining area is cosy yet spacious enough I would say, to seat 6, with the snug complete with woodburner attached.
A utility room with toilet, sink and washer/dryer on this level too.
Upstairs to the beautiful master bedroom with spacious balcony overlooking your own large garden with lively river running through and on to the extensive land owned by the neighbouring manor house.
The bathroom is finished to a very high standard and a great place to unwind in the opulent bath.
Downstairs is a lovely twin/double bedroom with lovely views over the gardens on two sides.
The living Area is spacious with good quality media devices, comfortable sofas and a fabulous decked area through patio doors leading to the garden and river. It would be a good idea to take some deckchairs and a blanket to fully enjoy this.
The area is distinctly rural, with a good romp to the nearest pub, not that we went as we had no intention of leaving the comforts of the lodge of an evening. There are some good walks to hand and the roads are very quiet.
I can strongly recommend the Oyster Catcher and the White Eagle for dining out, both of which are no more than 25 minutes drive.
We spent 5 days at Llynon Lodge and brought in the New Year whilst there, far better than any other I have celebrated before. I would love to live here but alas, I must work now to save for my next visit, which we really cannot wait to book!
I thank the owners very much indeed for creating this idylic escape and also Melissa from Anglesey Escapes who made the booking possible and trouble free.

"Missing the lodge!"

A wonderful house for peace seeking people: terrace, stream and park with singing birds in old trees included. Very comfortable and tasteful. Spacious for two, comfy for four. We felt at home at once and even loved to stay in on rainy days. The site is pretty rural, remote and quiet. Good roads and the motorway take you around the island though, to the beaches and places to see. "Black Lion" down the road highly recommendable.

"Tranquil and luxurious"

Quite simply an amazing cottage in a truly outstanding location.
The ideal place to relax and unwind, this cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could ever wish for.
Its rural location is so tranquil, the only sound you can hear is birdsong - we will definitely be going back.

"Tranquil, comfortable & tastefully appointed"

We were looking for somewhere to 'kick back' in comfort, Llynon Lodge ticked all the boxes.
The Lodge felt remote and secluded, but was close enough to amenities and attractions if required so you don't feel totally disconnected; a car is a must.
The property was well maintained, had a warm & relaxed feel and was well equipped with tasteful furniture, fittings etc, Broadband was a definite plus and you just about get a mobile signal, that's if you need it.
We will be back in the spring/summer when the flora is in bloom to explore the walks, beaches and lovely surroundings of the Lodge.
The whole experience was trouble free from booking with Melissa, to the warm welcome from Mr & Mrs Alexander and Llynon Lodge certainly has our recommendation.

"A lovely holiday home, but not one for young children"

Contemporary building which looked fantastic.
Fit and finish was superb - more 'exclusive home' than cottage.
Lot's of space, both inside and out (Very big master bedroom)
Not too far off the beaten track.
Nice walks on your door step, and great cafe at windmill up road (cakes-a-plenty)
Phone line and WiFi were very welcome

As I mentioned, wouldn't recommend to anyone with kids under 12 - deep streams and steep drop-offs in garden - but ideal for anyone who doesn't have youngsters.
Proximity to hall/manor house.
Directions to property could have been better.

"Lovely accommodation in a beautiful location"

The lodge is set in a very peaceful location, the ideal place to relax and unwind. All the rooms are very clean, comfortable and furnished to a high standard, a beautiful place to stay whatever the weather.
