The North Wales region

North Wales has a heritage as rich as its spectacular scenery with the mountains of Snowdonia, beautiful beaches and medieval castles. The area offers a range of opportunities from traditional cultural events, historical exploration and heritage sites to outdoor activities and sightseeing which always prove popular with families, outdoor sports enthusiasts and also those just looking for peace and tranquillity.

Numerous visitor attractions include Snowdonia National Park. The popular seaside resort of Llandudno, several World Heritage sites like the stunning Caernarfon Castle and the impressive Pontcysyllte aqueduct designed by Thomas Telford, there is the Mediterranean styled village of Portmeirion, not to mention the many art galleries, studios, museums and theatres which form part of the rich cultural heritage of this amazing country.

Holyhead

An island off the North Coast of Wales. This island once protected by the water was the last stronghold of the Druids against the invading Roman army many years ago. Luckily for us it is now connected to the mainland by two bridges, Telford's suspension bridge and the Brittannia Road and Rail bridge both of which offer easy access to this fabulous part of Wales. With over 125 miles of coastline, wide sandy beaches offering surfing, kite buggying, coasteering and of course the impressive Anglesey Coastal Path providing a walking route around 95% of the island's coastline. Beaumaris castle, Anglesey Sea Zoo and National trust run Plas Newydd and the Anglesey circuit race track are but a few of the local attractions, not to mention the sea fishing trips and pleasure cruises available from the island.
