Home description

The house has three bedrooms, a large double, a single and a twin. The fully furnished lounge has a television and video player, books and games. The house is gas fired centrally heated. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, kettle, toaster and micowave. There is a utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board. Smoke alarms are fitted and there is a fire blanket available. The house is fitted with a security alarm.

The house is on Valley Lane and at the end of the lane is an old railway line and common land, with a stream and great for small children

The East Anglia / Norfolk region

Norfolk is a beautiful county where main painters come to. The light along the coast in the evenings is very lovely. Cold in winter and pleasantly warm in summer. Blakeney, Wells, Hunstanton and Cley are all within close proximity. There are many National Trust properties such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Sheringham Park in the area. There are good beaches at Sheringham and Cromer and slightly further afield at Overstrand. Norwich is a lovely city only 45 minutes drive.

Bird watching is one of many pastimes for people coming to Norfolk.


Holt area

Holt is a market town with many small shops, good pubs and a supermarket. Camilla Parker Bowles often shops here. It is a very pretty Georgian town and many of the houses have flint exteriors. The shopping is good with lots of boutiques and gift shops and several delicatessens and quite a few restaurants, including a good Indian!

- Fly to Luton or Stansted for Norfolk
- Alternatively fly to Heathrow or Gatwick for a longer journey
- Car hire essential from all airports
- National Express coach service direct to Holt from Victoria Station London
- National Express coach service to Norwich and then local bus taking about one hour
