Further details indoors:
Clouded Yellow is boarded via the stern which is spacious enough to seat 6 comfortably thereby allowing dining alfresco as the sun sets and the birds go about their business. Take a couple of steps down into the large, open plan salon and galley from where you can view the lake in comfort. Carefully selected pine features and gentle colour tones enduce a real sense of relaxation. Thoughtful location of the kitchen sink makes the washing up a delight! For the chilly evenings a wood burning stove makes the boat a real snug. Along a corridor lies the twin cabin with shower/wc next door and finally the double ensuite has its own private deck from which to relax. Fishing from Clouded Yellow is encouraged and the lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout which taste particularly good on the barbecue.

Further details outdoors:
Blagdon Water is a 35 acre site with 15 acres of newly planted woodland. As the visitor drives through the young trees the lake appears at the far end of the site. Clouded Yellow has her own exclusive 3 acres with barbecue and picnic area. Painted Lady and Swallow Tail accompany her on the lake but are well hidden in their own private areas. As you walk across the site you may encounter deer, rabbits, hare, foxes, buzzards, kestrels, barn owls, woodpeckers, kingfishers and numerous waterbirds including two recently arrived swans.
Blagdon Water is proud to be an energy efficient and environmental project using solar power and has recently been awarde a silver award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

Further details

Due to the nature of Blagdon Water and the fact that Clouded Yellow is solar powered, we cannot provide most everyday electrical appliances. However the galley is very well equipped and provides all you need for a comfortable break. A generator is available for the use of irons, hairdryers etc. A 12volt charger is available for charging mobile phones.
Although we welcome children of all ages, parents must be aware of the nature of the holiday and the obvious proximity to deep water. Life jackets are available.

Conditions

Our policy with regards to pets is quite open. Our main concerns are that the dog will not get into the lake thereby upsetting the breeding and nesting birds or the fishing for other visitors. Dogs permitted tend to be either very small or elderly. Spaniels and Labradors are sadly not compatable with the environment.
Please consult the owner before bringing your pet. A strict rule applies with regards to one dog per boat only.
