The West Country / Devon region

Many activities are all available within a few miles. The surrounding beaches and the Tamar lakes provide many opportunities for a range of water sports, such as, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing.

There is a great variety of cycling that can be enjoyed in the area. Particularly popular with families are the quiet country lanes which roam through various pretty villages and the genteel Camel Trail which is ideal for those with young children. For the keen cyclists there are a wide range of more challenging off-road routes such as the North Cornwall coastal route which drops down the side of a deeply incised valley to sea level at Millook.
The views the route have to offer are fantastic and are worth the effort.

The South West Coast Path is the focal point for many walkers which converges with Cornwall’s 300 mile long coastal footpath. It offers amazing views with sheltered creeks and pretty fishing villages.

Bude Canal was constructed in the 1820’s and it offers a pleasant walk from Bude to the village of Marhamchurch, where cream teas can be enjoyed at Woodlands Tea Room.

The property is close to renowned surfing coasts along with its superb beaches, spectacular countryside and beautiful towns and villages. The rugged coastline is dotted with tiny coves and shallow bays. There is so much to see and do. With a warmer climate than the rest of England, there are a number of botanical gardens and nature reserves. There are many other interesting and welcoming locations that is sure to captivate all interests and tastes

Holsworthy / Pyworthy area

The traditional North Devon market town of Holsworthy positioned in the corner of Devon is just 6 miles away, there are many country inns serving good food that can be enjoyed.
