The West Country region

The heartland of North Devon is the ideal destination to enjoy the great outdoors. Popular activities from walking to cycling, surfing to mountain-boarding, golf to horse riding are all available in this region. The Tamar and Roadford lakes are close by with sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing all available. If you enjoy a less energetic pastime spend time birdwatching and fishing. Being close to the border you all have access to both Bodmin Moor and of course Dartmoor National Park.

Explore Cornwall and visit The Eden Project with an hour or the historic Tintagel. The surfing beach of Bude is just 11 miles and other coastal towns such as Boscastle can be easily reached.

Explore this lovely region of Devon where peaceful woodland walks and bicycle rides will allow you to embrace the rolling countryside along designated paths and off road tracks. Enjoy a day at the beach, whether it's for a bracing winter walk along the cliff tops, riding some of the best surfing waves in the South West or simply soaking up the sunshine on the beach. The local village of Bradworthy has everything you could need including a small supermarket, butcher post office and the all important village pub, that has a great reputation for good food and local ale. Nearby the towns of Holsworthy, Kilkhampton and Bude have a variety of shops and larger supermarkets.
